Now with de advent of VC hacking, I have to transfer VC games from computer to wii back and forth, and one thing that is very important is that you should NOT try to install a wad file that is bigger than your current free space on wii... So I was wondering if there was a website or something that tells how many blocks each VC title occupies on your wii.
Thanks.

Does this only happen when the wii memory is full? Or is there anyway of choosing the sd card as the primary install?

You can't play them from the SD card. Listen. If you try to install more than you have space for, the Wii will just kick you to the data management screen when you turn it on. I've had this happen many times. In this case, just delete a couple of VC channels the old fashioned way, and THEN use the Wad Uninstaller to get rid of the ticket. No harm, no foul.
