Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

You will only notice visually if you have your covers assigned. - When you launch the emulator from USB, games/art on the device will be ignored if a SD card is also inserted with the same Z-GX folder structure. SD will be prioritized. - When you launch the emulator from USB, and there is a SD card inserted without the Z-GX folder structure present, it will DSI crash. - 12 seconds pause before the game starts booting, affects build 20260811B. - Cover files do not load when you start the emulator from a USB device, yet it will load them if a SD card with the files is inserted before emulator launch. Hacking VC Games Not Working

Hello all,

I apologize if this has been answered before but here goes.

I am a dumbass who tried to use freethewads on Super Mario Allstars PAL and then install it on my NTSC wii. It came up with a black screen so I uninstalled it. Now no other VC games will work properly. SMB2, mario runs to the right all the time. SMB3 i cannot get past the first marker before the first level. I have tried to uninstall the VC games sing the WAD uninstaller and reinstall to no avail.

I know i will probably have to format as i cant see a way around this.

any suggestions on how to fix this?
