I just replaced the usb c port with a new one and that wasn't it. I have a multimeter now but I don't know how to test for the data lines. Do you have a more detailed description or a link that I could check out ?
Select diode mode on the multimeter (usually the continuity mode and diode mode mode share the same designator, so it's the mode that create a beep sound when the two prongs make contact). Then put the red probe on ground (charging port, for example) and black probe on one of the test points. I believe I put a picture of the test points somewhere in this thread. Let me know what reading you get.I just replaced the usb c port with a new one and that wasn't it. I have a multimeter now but I don't know how to test for the data lines.
