People are oddly cautious, then. Emunand is a great tool to have. Not even for piracy.
Regardless, an entrypoint is an entrypoint, and the more of them you have the better. It covers the bases which Ironhax originally did, so there's something to be said for that.

Yes, I acknowledged the part. So, It does make sense. It's good to have an eshop game-based exploit. Just, now it seems like devs are rushing to find and exploit more games.

Is this the same installer as SMCHax?
Very similar although this one uses a shortcut.

btw- exploit starts up about 5-6 seconds after the game boots. You only have to press A 3 times and the c64 bootscreen is very nice to look at indeed. Good exploit game.

This exploit is pretty useless though as I understand it. It's digital only, so you can't set it up in another 3DS or use Sky. And that means need to have HBL on your system already in order to install it.

So this hax is basically just an academic exercise with no utility, right?

Nope. Had a nice conversation about this already.

Nice part: Nintendo won't patch it. It's not their game and Canvagh (guy behind V6) has moved on from V6. All other exploits were card games or first/second party title games. V6 is third party. Also, I don't think Nintendo will remove it from the shop. It's one of the best 3DS games, unlike Ironfall and Cubic Ninja.

As for use: beaconhax can't downgrade a 3DS AFAIK, so having this game as a secondary entrypoint will be useful as V6 is very cheap.

You can borrow someone's cubic ninja or OoT to set it up, and then always have access to homebrew from your home menu. Not everybody wants to downgrade, some want a legit system and just use some homebrew occasionally.

Not trying to hate, I tried to help you in the switch noob thread by asking for you, but you don't want to accept the answers you got, so do whatever then.

@BigOnYa, Man, first of all thanks for your willing to help, much appreciated. But, it's not that I "don't want to listen", rather than I need soemone to EXPLAIN to me how and why all these are risky.

For example, HOW is is risky to get banned if you extract the save files to the CFW?
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
isn't this proccess be done while you're offline?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
We are not Nintendo, so we don't know exactly how/why/when they ban, but better to stay on the safe side and not do shady stuff, if you don't want to be banned. Hayato is one of the most knowledgeable ones here on the subject and I believe what he says.

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Yes ofc we don't know how Nintendo bans work, but if there are situations where a lot of people have tried safely then we can at least assume that this path is pretty much safe. To say don't try anything homebrew relative just to be safe forever is the easiest thing to say to someone. What I am trying to figure out here is with which cases and what actions got most of the people their bans for.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
Most things I can find resulting to a ban is save-editing reasons, like Pokehex, etc, and going online afterwards.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm almost certain fucking Google fibers modems blocking out PPPoE signals

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ken, your hamster inside it is hungry. Can't you turn POE on/off in your WiFi settings page? Or is it not staying on?

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Well, in that thread they say it's pretty much safe to manage save files back and forth to consoles as long as you don't go online with cheats activated or with a pirate game.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
I own every of my games legit with their own cartridges
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
also, I'm not planning to use any cheats, etc, just continue the normal gameplay on the emulator

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@ATEMVEGETA if you use save from other switch you may be ok, but using a save from emulator to switch will prob get you banned
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Under ipv4/6
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
The save file will be created and started normally on the Switch's OFW with a legit game. Then that save file will be transfered to the emulator and continue the gameplay there. Then send it back to the console.
