Homebrew Homebrew game Ultimate Switch Port Thread

How would you even define a crappy port? As I said, if it works as intended and there's no issues with gameplay or performance, then to me that's a good port, regardless of AI use. So far I haven't found any that are unplayable, there's a few glitchy ones that haven't been updated in a while, and a couple that I couldn't get to work, but many are still being actively worked on.

Being neutral means allowing all ports even if you don't like them, except the ones that break the site's rules or don't comply with some other established criteria. I think a better way to tackle this issue would be to add more information to the port list, maybe a few extra columns to check if the game is playable from start to finish without issues or glitches (except the ones present in the original game), and if it needs overclock, among other things. From there anyone can have a better way to decide if they want to try a certain port or not.
Sounds good.

So, there's no solution and let's clutter the thread with all kinds of crappy ports? I had high hopes this website would be a neutral ground when it comes to quality posts and ports.
I beg to differ. All ports I've come accross were really well done, optimized and of great quality. If you're not into a game, I say skip it. Sure at the beginning, some of the ports could benefit from more bug fixes but once the devs got the hang of it, they're giving amazing stuff to the scene.

Hello everyone !
I tried few experiments with car@fe to make a few ports, but I'm not sure if I could upload them since they are fully made NSP's ?
but if any is interested to make them:

-Silent Hill Downpour: using the pc decomp (NOT MINE!), runs surprisingly well IMO in handheld at stock clock; however there's some kind of glitch that prevents to keep playing the game not that long after the bus fell (can walk through that forest until you have to jump over a hole near some rocks)
-Silent Hill Homecoming: I tried 2 different builds, each failed at boot: error code 0x0000005
-Condemned criminal origins: seems to be working, the menus is working (with touchscreen), opening cinematic fine, but I can't play it even with the fixes to enable the use of gamepad. 3 or 4 attempts, can't do much. maybe if you could link a keyboard and a mouse to the switch... ? lol
-F.E.A.R.: same problem as Condemned
-X-Blades: almost perfect! handheld stock clock, solid 60fps (at least the first levels), hi-res. only the cinematics: images "freeze" soon after the cinematic begins but the sound keeps going as normal - just press B to skip the cinematics (that's kinda unfortunate but at least it's playable )

--so the only one that you could play if you're interested so far is X-Blades, which I made using the GOG version (if ever, the game is cheap)

mayybe more experienced person here could make something playable with those games above ? Would definitely LOVE to play Silent Hill Homecoming on Switch !
What would you think about it ?

Now, I saw some very interesting decomp on github, and I'm wondering if someone could port them for the Switch?
I think they are feasable, but due to the limitations of my computer (couldn't even build the NRO for OpenGOAL Jak and Daxter because of the lack of AVX (how's that even possible?) /snif/

Hey guys!

I'm working on a quick web page to browse all the ports with box art, platform filters, and README previews: https://niecks90.github.io/PortsDL-NX/
It's based on @RobZilla10001 github list ( thanks for the wonderful updated list :) )

In parallel, I'm working on a lightweight Windows companion tool to handle downloading and pushing the ports directly to the Switch over FTP or local SD staging.

Would love your feedback and advice on this! Let me know what you think :)
Looks really good :D Is it possible to use the cover from the OG Xbox version since this is FIFA Street (2005)? That current cover is from FIFA Street (2012) from Xbox 360, so people might get confused.

MOHAA multiplayer is said to be working but how are we supposed to connect to the servers if there's no keyboard to type in IP addresses? Are there any other ways? Can't figure it out.. :/

Hello everyone!

Sharing some updates:

As promised I'm currently working on ports of Enchanted Arms and DOA games first. I'd love to play Kameo so I'll give it also a try . please allow me a few days since I'm busy too.

Yesterday I couldn't stay on a fail with Jak and Daxter running on Switch so thanks with help (even from AI) I FINALLY made it running on my Switch, so I'm just so happy!
I'm also learning quite some stuff, so I'm getting abit optimistic (but I'm still newbie and everything is thanks to the incredible people that are making so much awesome work !)

I'll keep you updated!

I've seen someone talking about Magna Carta 2 , I really enjoyed that game on Xbox many years ago. I'll try making it real when I'll be more experienced

KawaiiBunga does not seem to have a presence here last I checked. However, the software is listed as very early in development, so a lot of work is still needed before it's stable. You can always hop on the Discord, and share your experience. Feedback is valuable to devs.
Not seeing a discord link on his GitHub, do you have it?
