ROM Hack Using PokeGen with ROM Hacks

I was wondering if it's possible to use PokeGen (a savefile editor) on hacked Pokemon ROMs.

I've tried searching for an answer, but I'm only finding support for original ROMs. I'm asking because some 5th Generation Pokemon hacks such as Black/White Deluxe look fun, and I want to extract Pokemon files (.pkm) from the hacked ROM into my retail copy of Pokemon White.

It's perfectly fine to use PokeGen with hacked games. Just keep in mind that if the Pokemon's moves / abilities aren't released in the original copy, they won't work on WiFi. (ex: Contrary Serperior from Pokemon BlazeBlack / VoltWhite)

Should work fine. Just make sure the save file name matches the Rom name. That goes for any game really.

I've been making my own Pokemon hack known as Pokemon Origin Platinum and I have used Pokegen as well as Pokesav with test save files.

So yes, you will be able to use them on hacked games.
