Get the firm build and put it into /luma/payloads. To launch it you have to hold the start button while starting your 3DS and select open_agb_firm
It is possible to load your original saves but that isn't always that straight forward. Was your save made using an Emulator? Many Emulators create EEPROM saves which differ from the ones open_agb_firm expects. You can use this online tool to convert them. Other than that you have to make sure that your rom is unmodified. The GBA has many different save types for different games and open_agb_firm uses a dat file to determine the save type.
