i dont know whats going on. been having this same problem since 7.2. my config is as follows:

wimages_path=SD:/wimages/
wbackground = wbg.png
wconsole_coords = 40,71,340,290
wcovers_coords = 482,110
wisdscreen = 1

i have a widescreen tv, i have the folders in the right place, config is in with the dol, but its like its not seeing the wimages folder. i ve heard some people say that its "wimage_path=SD:/wimages/" as opposed to ""wimages_path=SD:/wimages/" but ive tried that and it doesnt work either. with 7.2 and 7.3 all i got were wrong sized no image box art on the wrong background, but now i have the right background, correct boxart size, but no boxart...just "no image". images are scaled to 130x225 which im assuming is correct for widescreen, no?

ooppss....sorry for the double post

Try changing this line

wimages_path=SD:/wimages/

to

wimages_path= SD:/wimages/

Also, if your using the 7.4 version remove the widescreen = 1 all together.

maybe Hungyip has same typo, then in old config guide...
Try

wimage_path= SD:/wimages/
no 's" in the path...

I'm using the "s" in my locations works fine.

CODEimages_path = SD:/apps/USBLoader/images_4x3/
wimages_path = SD:/apps/USBLoader/images_16x9/

ok, so updated to 7.4.
Now it doesn't want to read images at all, or it's ignoring my settings completely, I don't even know what's going wrong

what could be wrong with his?
Code:
image_path = SD:/usbimages/
wimage_path = SD:/usbimages/
background = bg.png
wbackground = xraypalwide.png
layout = small
covers = 1
simple = 0
console_coords = 46,108,326,248
console_color = 15,0
covers_coords = 498,260
wconsole_coords = 46,108,326,248
wcovers_coords = 498,260
entry_lines = 7
home = reboot
download = 0
ocarina = 0
savesettings = 1
video = system
language = console
parentelcontrol = 0
downloadinstall = 0
hidesettingmenu = 0

comment out all the co-ords lines and see if it shows the images

mine stopped working until i done this, then i changed backgrounds and put in new co-ords given with skin.

Mine now works, no probs at all.

Thanks, commenting them out seems to work, but now I understand it even less.
I commented all coords out, both for 4:3 and 16:9, and now it's displaying in exactly the right place. Doesn't seem to make sense at all

Wrong locations probably why it do not work.

Placing the coordinates on some locations, make the cover NOT show.

Its that talk about being dividable by 4 thingy, that I don't really understand fully.

Been able to figure out how to get most everything to work for 7.3 and 7.4. So far so good.

The only thing I cannot figure out is how titles.txt works or isn't working for me. I see the game ID#'s (such as Super Mario Galaxy NTSC - RMGE01) which is the same name as the box art.

Now all my games are retitled for what I want within WBFS... so they are acurate. I thought when the titles.txt was in the App/usbloader folder than it would override the title what was on the HDD. So on the titles.txt, if I wanted Super Mario Galaxy (RMGE01) to actually read as Super Mario's Crazy Adventure... I would put it as RMGE01 = Super Mario's Crazy Adventure and that is how it should read on the screen?

So why isn't it working?

Try.

titles.txt (code = name = parentalcontrol)
CODERMGE = Super Mario's Crazy Adventure = 0
