the backgrounds have to be specially made. They need to be a different resolution.

To create proper 16:9 background images you'll have to create your image in 853x480
and when you're done resize it to 640x480

So their will most likely be a whole new set of skins for the widescreen version

Then you have to resize the covers to 120x225, which i have already done and added a link to the zip file for them.

well that sux

you do not need HBC to run this loader.......

you can use a forwarder....i do

i use this one, http://www.yafaze.com/wii/files/USB_LOADER_FORWARDER.rar

sorry, i forgot you could use forwarders. I dont really understand the whole forwarder stuff though. Just thought you needed HBC.

the forwarder is just a normal channel but forwards you to the sd card once you activate it. even though it uses hbc (apps folder etc) the hbc is not needed to use it though

There is one game that doesn't work properly in USB Loader (Haruhi Gekidou),all japanese text is replaced by garbage caracters. It works when launched using the DVD through GeckoOS with the VIDTV Patch. So would it be possible to include the VIDTV Patch in the USB loader ? (It's not really important as the game is still playable)

I want a forwarder so bad. Is it still impossible to install one if you are running official System 4.0u?

yes it is because you need wad manager 1.3 to install the wad. i dont know if you can use wad manager without the hbc either.

Well, I have had the HBC installed for a while now and I got the USB loaders working today. Still, this means no USB channel for me or so it would seem from what I keep hearing. Here is hoping for what the future brings!

if you have the hbc you can install the wad manager on it. than use patched ios60 to enable WM to install wads again. i have 4.0 and i can still do everything in homebrew.

Patched ios60 huh? I need to do some reading before I even attempt due to my lack of knowledge in that area. Thanks for the tip though.

All I had when updating to 4.0 (official 4.0) was homebrew channel, then I added wad manager 1.3 (while using it I installed the Wad for wad manager 1.3 so dont need HBC to run it) then installed cIOS R9, cIOS USB2 and backup channel, nothing else has been installed (cept now on cIOSR10) and I have not encountered one problem on anything, so to be honest aslong as you have homebrew channel installed everything else is still possible even without all the patched IOS etc

Interesting.... so wad mamager 1.3 apparently could work with 4.0. Well, thank you both for the help. I will go to the noob corner if I really need help, but I feel I should ask one last thing. Is there an HBC app that can tell you exactly what IOSes, custom or not, you have installed? Something like this sounds immensely useful.

Hi! I'm new in GBAtemp!

I have got a question!

How can I translate dol file? I only need a name of a program to open a dol file

Can someone please upload the V6.7 based on 1.1 in the "selfmade" 16x9 Version? I only need the dol, I have the special background and the covers already.

One reason I'd like to see the console area rewritten to use GUI methods instead is that I believe it will help with the flicker issue some people have.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about watched vettacossx's video above and look at the console area.
It's not as noticable with slightly larger fonts.

But that's something that can wait until the code it a bit more stable.
