Hacking USB Loader... my turn ;)

Hi, I'm done with automatic resizing of covers for 16:9. It's compiled from source 6.7mod1 and is using FreeImage to resize.

I used this yesterday its great.. nice work with the resize job, will try that later...

is this based on 1.4 loader or 1.1 ?


I guess what is needed is a config to switch the resize on or off.. so the whole thing can be collated together with the hungyips version..

no, I have made it hardcoded for now.
But it can be done, or maybe Hungyip can add the resizing to his code.

This mod is moastly for testing purpose.

It's based on Ultimatev6.7 based on loader 1.4

Includes:
Wad forwader file - Install with wad manager
Background for USB Loader ultimate version 1.1 or 1.4.

"Note channel points to boot.dol in "usbloader" named folder in apps

I think you should make a version without background.
Nice channel.

Background is just an image file you put in your loader images folder.
Channel will work regardless of background. etc your own one

Whats the name of the Channel, when you make a "mouse over" in the Wii-Menü?
And without the "Wii" in the Background of the MenuScreen it would look better.

Thanks for the forwarder channel. The graphics and matching bg look sleek.
Although it doesn't seem to load through crazyintro for some reason.
I guess preloader -> crazy intro -> channel -> forwarder DOL -> USBLoader is a bit too much. It dumps somewhere along the line.

Is there any reason why the .WAD is so big? its 5.3MB vs the 1.8MB channel I had before which had the entire 1.1 loader in it.

Edit: the title id is USBL for anyone wanting to try it.

I am getting a corrupted archive. Is anyhow possible you can reup it or someone else uploaded on a different server. TY. And if we can incorporate a 16:9 on\off option in config it would help people with 3:4 TVs.
