Hacking USB Loader GX

It took me 3 attempts to try and install Metroid Prime Trilogy from disc, but it finally worked. When I loaded the game it gave me 4 choices:
MP1
MP2
MP3
Default

Loading the Default is the only one that seems to kind of work, except it doesn't actually load the game. It tries to, then reboots to the wii system menu.
Also, everytime I load USB Loader, it says it tries to use IOS234 but fails and then uses 36 instead. I'm not sure if this is a big deal, but it doesn't seem to be bothering any of my other games.

So is there another loader that I need to play MPT, or maybe a patch? Or maybe I need to install an IOS? I'm really stumped, please help.

also I've looked around the boards and it seems that I have to use alt dol loading. Well, I've been doing that and the game comes up with a nintendo error: an error has occured please eject the disc and turn off the wii.

Also running on ios249 r16

use a different cIOS

Hey Captain Gynu, I had the exact same problem so try the following and it WILL work:

1. install Hermes cIOS 222/223 from the following link: http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/hermes-cios

2. got to use Uloader v3.0B from the following link:
http://wiinewz.com/forums/nintendo-news/96...ader-v3-0b.html

3. installed the latest cIOS38 rev15 (search and dl it from this forum)

Now dump the game (i must use Uloader -didnt work with USB Loader GX) onto your hard drive using Uloader and use USB Loader GX to select either Metroid1/2/3 INDIVIDUALLY to play ENJOY

Is there any problem if I combine two USB loaders - GX and uLoader?
What happens when I install hermes cIOS needed by uLoader, is there any issues?
I want to increase compatibility, especially for "music" games like Beatles.

Yes! Its finally working. Installed it with uloader and loading is no prob.

and yes, hermes installs easy if you already have a cios, and uloader and usb loader gx don't fight.

lol, no two apps could ever "fight", apps are not saved on the wii, they are saved on the sd card and run using ram, and only ONE app can be loaded at a time... so by definition, no 2 apps could possibly conflict with each other (unless they require different revs of the same cIOS, but this isn't much of an issue)
