You should have an incorrect setting for this game, like a wrong cIOS slot information.
Go to the individual Game setting (click Preferences on the spinning disc screen), and reset the game settings, or edit the cIOS to use 249.

Old version used "0", "1" or "2" to specify "222, 249, 250, etc."
Though, old Main and game settings should have been automatically deleted, but try to do that anyway and let me know if it fixed it.

Thank you for taking the time to respond

Unfortunately, that didn't work. First, I reset game settings, which failed, then I tried changing the cIOS slot from "use global" to 249, failed. I also tried 236 and 222 and those failed too.

Try an older version of USBloaderGX (did you keep the previous?) and see if it's working again.
You can also try another Loader (cfg, wiiflow, neogamma, etc.) and see if it also reboot to Wii menu.

You can also try the latest beta version 1108

The game is working for me, so it's either your ISO which became corrupted (you are using WBFS partition, or FAT32/NTFS?), either a setting problem, or a bug I didn't found

PS :
Don't forget to set the IOS back to 249 or 222.
(236 is not usable for USB loaders).

Not necessary anymore, the Loader include two patches internally:
New super mario Bros Wii : prevents error message during game play
Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands : prevents intro video freezing

But it will load the WIP file instead of using the internal patch if the GAMEID.wip file is found.

Looks like it may be a bad iso... It crashes cfg loader as well. I'm gonna reinstall and test, but it looks like I need to apologize for wasting your time.

I have been having great success so far with this loader, but i have a few issues that i would like help with.:
1. The following games reset the wii instead of resetting the game software via home button>reset;we love golf, excite truck, excite bots, tomb radier underworld, tomb raider anniversary, cabelas big game hunter.(All games NTSC U on 4.2U wii, loader v2.2)
2 .In game movies seem to be just a little choppy but not terrible(the tomb raider games are the most noticeable). Any tips for better movie playback? Try to find a faster drive (WD passport 80 GB, WBFS)? Different cIOS (hermes v5 currently) maybe? Except for movies, all games seem to be playing just as fine as off retail discs.
[Added bonus i suppose: Because i had already played wii sports resort off retail before soft modding anything, i never needed the alt dol method

USB Loader GX is a great loader. I really can only wish for one other feature to add to this loader: automatic disc eject after game install.
To the USB Loader GX team members reading this, great job and thank you.

1. There are games that reboot the console (back to Wii menu or HBC), and other which reset the game to game Title screen.
I don't know why, but it's not a bug. Just re-launch the game if you need it.

It also does that on PAL games on PAL consoles, it has nothing to do with NTSC.

2. I don't know, I never found choppy video when using USB.
The USB speed for the slowest cIOS is faster than Disc drive (which is 6x).
the fastest cIOS are the one based on IOS56.
use d2x v6+ base 56.

I guess it's your HDD, maybe it's not USB2.0, but only USB1.1 speed.

3. You never had to use Alt dol method, because the alternative dol is only the Wiimote+ video.
The main dol is the game.
If you've already watched the wiimote+ video, then you don't need to watch it again and the game work without alt dol.
Also, USBLoaderGX include a feature to launch known game's alt dols automatically whithout you noticing. (SSX blur, Red steel, etc.)

If you encounter games which require alt dols, just tell us and we will include them in the automatic alt dol list.

4. Disc eject: I don't know. Maybe it's possible to eject disc with a software command?

You need at least HBC 1.0.7 to enable arguments reading, or launch it from the forwarder 3.0+ which are reading the meta.xml content manually.

Your code is correct.
Does it load the default cIOS249 and then reload the cIOS set in the Loader settings (247) ?

Does it work with official2.2 or a previous beta release >1100?

Can someone help me? :X I softmodded my Wii awhile ago and the version of USB Loader GX I had had been working fine for me, but I decided to update (dumb idea).

Anyway, I tried various things to get the rest of my Wii up to date and now I'm running USB Loader GX v2.2 and it says (d2x v6 base56) in the credits screen.

Basically, my problem is this. I don't have any box arts or disc images now, and I can't download any themes either. Whenever I try to change my custom paths or use what the loader thinks my paths should be, it doesn't work. It usually tells me something like: "Can't create directory usb8:/config/images/" even though I originally had my images and such on my SD card, not in any USB thing. When I tried to change it in the custom paths menu, it just gives me a window that says "Error"

frown.gif
Can anyone explain this or am I fucked? >_> I can try and provide more information about my system if need be.

Do you really have 8 partition on your USB drive? I think you don't, so it's weird that it select usb8:\

Did you try to delete your config files ?
On both SD: and USB: (to be sure it doesn't load from usb instead of SD)
\config\
\apps\usbloader_gx\ delete all .cfg files

Do you use the channel version or the HBC boot.dol version ?
Do you boot from SD or USB?

@gbameow:
I really don't know.
Where does it crash?
on the wii menu before loading to change channel?
When booting?
Once in USBLoader? if yes, which menu? list/flow/wall/settings/spinning disc, etc.

Both normal and channel are based on the same code.

Did you try to launch it from HBC instead of the channel? Did it work? only the channel or both have this problem?

Please provide more information when giving a bug report, try localizing what make the bug happen, what trigger it, which revision, did it work before, starting on which revision it doesn't work, etc.

@Cyan: Well, I tried booting it from the Homebrew Channel, but I also used the 4.0 Forwarder, and the problem is the same either way. USB Loader GX is in my SD card, and should be booting from there. My USB drive is WBFS, so I don't think I could boot from it even if I wanted to? Also, when I check the usbloader_gx folder in apps, it doesn't have a config file on my SD card. Plus, there isn't even a config folder being created on the root of my SD card.

Is the config file on my WBFS drive somehow? >_> If so, I wouldn't know how to delete it.

Nope, I just checked every folder to answer your question. :

If you don't have a \config\ folder on your SD card it should create the .cfg files into the usbloader_gx\ folder (we changed the default path few releases ago).

Though, it doesn't create the config file if it can find them either on :
SD:\apps\usbloader_gx\
SD:\config\
USBx:\apps\usbloader_gx\
USBx:\config\
(x = each of possible FAT32/NTFS partitions, 1 to 8).

Try going into the custom path menu into GX.
Click on a path with usb8:\xxx\xxx\

Try exploring that device to first see if the device really exists (I think it doesn't), and if you can explore it then check to see if there is something else on that drive that you may recognize.

Maybe you can try Wiixplorer too.

Try connecting the drive to your computer, and go into manage disk to see the partitions.
Maybe you have a hidden FAT32 or NTFS partition without a letter, so it's not shown on Windows, but detected and used in other devices (only windows can hide by not assigning a letter).
