rev 922
- Fixed Hermes rev5 issues (I think
smile.gif
)
- Added support for ciosx (yes, including FAT/NTFS) (As always, say thanks to
oggzee for this)
- Fixed bug with game specific settings (which *could* end up using other
settings than you expected)
- Removed fat_ffs for now (save game emulation might conflict with FAT/NTFS
support, we have to test this)
- Maybe more, but I forgot them, I think

Red Steel 2 needs alt dol (wii motion vid)
SSBB - works fine for me!
On my Wii, SSBB freezes USB loader before I can launch it

Red Steel 2 works perfectly....

SSBB : I'm using cIOSX Rev19, USB Loader GX r916 and SSBB ~6Go extract from iso to WBFS with Wii Backup Manager 0.3.4.
Do you know why it freezes the loader ?

Edit : Ok, the problem comes from Wii Backup Manager. When copied with Wii Game Manager, it works.

Test dol: http://www.multiupload.com/W486YOB5W4

please test the following:
disable preloader's return to settings if you have any so exiting games goes back to the system menu.
use this dol to start a game.
what happens when you exit a game ( using "wii menu" at the home menu screen)?

expected output is that you exit the game to the full channel, forwarder channel, or HBC.
some games this will not work for, such as wii sports, so you will exit to the system menu.
if you get a blackscreen when exiting a game, i would like to know what game and if possible the usb gecko log.

also, test regular games and with alt dol from each different method. since they are all patched at different times, i may have screwed the pooche on one.

I have hermes cIOS v5 and Waninkoko cIOSX rev 19 installed with the following configurations:

cIOS 202 as IOS60
cIOS 222 as IOS38
cIOS 223 as IOS37
cIOS 224 as IOS57

cIOSX with IOS249 as IOS57
cIOSX with IOS250 as IOS38 (BlueDump method as documented by WiiBricker): http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=212497

I have a 2TB Caviar Green WD20EADS HDD inside an Antec MX-1 enclosure, running on a 2006 UK PAL Wii with 4.2. The HDD has two partitions of equal size: the first, an Active and Primary FAT32; and the second, a Primary NTFS, containing 50 full-size scene ISOs located in NTFS:/wbfs/TitleID_GameName/TitleID.iso .

Running SD:/usbloader_gx/r899.dol, I select the NTFS partition and it presents me with the list of games as expected. However, when I load them I get a blank screen due to the incompatibility with rev 19.

Running SD:/usbloader_gx/r927.dol, I select the NTFS partition and then I get a Code Dump.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

@Giantpune :

I have the UNEO forwarder.
I don't have the full ULNR channel.
I don't have a USB gecko, sorry.
boot all from IOS249[38] v19

tested games

normal loading :
One piece unlimited cruise ep1 (PAL) : return to HBC
Fragile dreams (PAL) : HBC
New super mario bros Wii : HBC

alt dol from disk :
SSX blur : (I can't boot it. tested with r919 too)
Red steel : Wii menu

alt dol from SD/USB :
SSX blur : Wii menu
Red steel : Wii menu
New Super mario bros Wii : (alt dol for BCA patch) : Wii menu
(note : it still has the bug with external dol+ocarina = black screen)

I'm sorry, none of the tried game so far return to UNEO

I'll try more later, I'll edit here until you post something.

i changed some stuff and committed my stuff. in the current SVN version, it should be able to exit any game and return to either HBC or our channel. it tries our channels first and then tries HBC.

i have UNEO forwarder
boot all from ciosx249[57]rev19
hard disk ntfs
usbloader gx rev 927

loading from forwarder:
Dragonball Z budokai tenkachi 3: return to wii menu
new super mario bros: return to forwarder
Super smash bros brawl: return to forwarder

You mean : ingame, you press "Home" button then you choose to return to HB or Gx" ?
I though the Home button behavior was hard-coded in the game or in the Wii and couldn't be changed...

r923 to r927 are not working for me, on game selection the disc menu does not appear, the drive light is on, and nothing happen anymore.
After clicking a game on the list, I can't go back with B button either.
Other menus are working fine before clicking a game.

up to r921 it's working.
the problem is certainly starting from the 922 or 923
(I'm using cIOS[38]v19, with FAT32+WBFS partition. Games are on WBFS, not FAT32)

Maybe I should delete the config, I'll try.
Edit : even after all the config files deleted, it's not working.

the problem is certainly starting from the 922 update, the one fixing ciosx, and converting C++ to C

Are you loading from WBFS or fat/ntfs ?

just to exclude the partition format if you are loading from fat/ntfs.

im loading with WBFS

Thanks to all the devs for r927....

I tested it:
- on my WBFS HD: I loaded the games, no probs
- on my NTFS HD: I loaded the games
- on my FAT32 HD: no way to load the games, I got "error: bad magic"....

I have cIOS249 rev17 and cIOS222 rev4. Hope this could be useful to the devs...
