Great to see you guys (and gals ?) add FAT support

I wonder what loader will be the first to add nand emu to read/write saves and dlc to sd/usb, cause imho that would be epic. I don't care much about the dlc though but I'd imagine it would go down well with the huge crowd of GH fans out there

I remember when NeoGamma had the most features, but it seems to be lagging behind, wonder if wiipower wii add FAT support hmmm

Anyway great stuff adding fat so quickly.

Anyway whoever is working on that portion of it, please let me know what you would like me to do and I can help out.

@daekphreak, can you contact dimok about this on our IRC channel? (irc.abjects.net / #gui-usbloader-chat)

You're welcome ;-)

Last time I asked him, he didn't wanted to add it, unless it would support full iso files.

build 831 black screens on every game.

CFG USB loader loads up the games fine though.

I'm using a FAT partition obviously

any idea why?
Same issue here. Games are configured to use IOS222, of course. Downgrading to 829 or 830 makes no difference.

i believe that your global BootIOS has to be set to 222, not just the individual game IOS

To all, it seems some of you people experience black screens, while some of you don't. I would suggest you contact us in our irc channel, if you're willing to help us out by testing applications.

Since revision 829 the default cios is changed to cios 222. So please make sure you have this cios installed. Selecting another global ios will still try to load 222, since we need one cios to read the configuration. If cios 222 is replaced by a stub, for instance, the application will blackscreen.

Anyway, let us know if you can help out (and you can if your version blackscreens).

The autoupdate version will be changed back to version 828.

It looks like this is the solution:

I checked with anytitledeleter - i had 222 (i don't see why it would be a stub, but maybe it is - I'm just running 4.0).
I then tried to launch a game using 222 (wiisports) and got a black screen.
I then updated to 222 rev4 and now r831 of usbloader-gx runs fine.

Hi all,

I made some tests and here is the summary....

I have cIOS14 and cIOS222 rev4, HBC 1.0.6 and two HD WesternDigital Passport 500GB, one wbfs formatted and another one FAT formatted. The FAT formatted one contains about 150 games.... I have in HBC configurable v47, configurable v47-FAT, GX r828, GX r831 (in four different folders). Global games settings have cIOS222 reload....

In Config v47-FAT everything runs smoothly... I load the app, the HD blinks for 1 second, the dvd lights blue, the HD blinks again for 1-2 seconds and the covers appear...

In GX r831 sometimes I got everything "running": I load the app, the HD blinks for 1 second, the dvd lights blue, the HD blinks again for more than 12 seconds and the covers appear...

If I get back to the wii menu, I unplug the HD and I plug it again, then I have black screen: I load the app, the HD blinks for 1 second, the wii hangs in black screen before the dvd lights blue

I do not know if this can be of any help to you...

A couple of time the wii hanged also with the WBFS HD (again before the dvd lights blue)... but I have not been able to reproduce the problem...

Thanks for your job...

Guys this is really strange, when im trying to play the game via USB Loader GX Channel (With #002 fix and Ocarina on) it doesnt work, stays on black screen after loading the game...But if i go to Homebrew CHannel , then open USB Loader GX trough the sd card, it and do the 002 fix and ocarina on it works

why?

OK People, please everyone update your IOS222 to this one and you won't have these problems with Rev829+ http://www.mediafire.com/?zbirezy2bj4.

This happened because the default IOS was changed to 222 from 249 and if you had old revisions of it installed it resulted in blackscreen. It wouldn't have happened if there were no IOS222 installed at all.

I'm getting black screens on the latest builds too - even with a fresh SD card with no settings. I guess something is broken :S

Rolling back to R828 makes it work again.

Exact same problem here, I see USB Loader GX logo booting up, then black screen and Wiimote off.
Experienced with r829, 830, and 831.
r828 and lower works.

Same for me last night, went from R784 to R831

Via forwarder loader only, GX loader screen, then black screen for about 90 seconds, disc slot blue lights up, then smaller GX loader screen, black and white bars and then GX loaded OK.
No problems via the HBC but.

Rolled back to R828 and forward boot all OK

Which is the difference between this rev4 cIOS222 and the one I downloaded with uLoader 3.1 (which is named cIOS222 3.0 rev4 too)? I supposed to have the latest 222 cIOS....

Thanks for the info

EDIT: I downloaded your link and it seems that it is the same installer I used...

I noticed this last night on R831, the default for loading and games was set to use cIOS222. I changed to cIOS249 and rebooted and tried again and still have long wait time on booting as mentioned above.

What version is this cIOS222?

The default IOS will be changed back to 249 because it seems that not many people use 222. I would still recommend to updated the IOS and use that if it works for you. Rev832 should be running again as usual.

Thank you very much Dimok,

Let me suggest you to notice that Oggzee proposes his Configurator in two different flavours, a classic one based on cIOS249 and another one based on cIOS222-mload... maybe it could be useful to follow the same way...

In any case, I already have the latest 222 cIOS and sometimes the wii hangs...

Dimok, as cambric said I have also installed cIOS222R4.
I just checked the installer I used for 222 to the link you had and both are the exactly the same, ie filesize, date modified, xml description.

I had the long wait loading r831 via the forwarder channel., HBC loading was normal.

I am having a bit of difficulty running the newer revisions of usb loader gx. Anything after r814 won't recognize my wbfs partition. It asks me to create a new one. Does anyone know why this happens and what I can do to fix it?

I am running a 4.2U firmware and have just installed Cios 15.

Thanks

Everyone is talking about r831, but I only have r830 and when i click update, it says there is no updates. Where is this r831 coming from?

You can get the latest ones here

http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/downloads/list

They will be on that site before you see them on the loader because they haven't been uploader to the server that the updater inside the program uses.

Does it matter if IOS222 is installed with only IOS38 or IOS38+IOS37

I have it installed as IOS38

I havent tried r831 but i made sure its using IOS222 and still the same problem.
