which is strange, since that part has only changed a small bit. Can you please run this test application, and confirm that it shows the correct partition table for your drive (I don't need to know your partition table, just if it's correct)?

Thank you.
Well, first check the version you're having. Click on the button with the gears, go to the second page, and press credits. The revision is shown is the top right corner. I guess you're revision is lower than 822, so I suggest you update to the latest revision, which contains the runtime patches required to run NSMB.Dj_Qbert said:My drive had been formatted to wbfs through the old usb loader 1.1. I had to formatted my drive again using wbfs manager and now everything is working fine with the newest revision.
Nice! I don't understand why you had to reformat your drive, but I'm glad it works for you now.
I ask this because I'm having an issue with an unpatched NTSC NSMB where it black screens with an error as soon before it loads. I'm wondering if its because my USB Loader GX isn't really updated.persichini said:I know the makers of this program read this and i couldn't find contact info so i'm posting here in hope they see this.
http://brewdownloader.com/ is selling USB Loader GX as part of there software bundle. 34.99. I know its freeware and wanted you to be aware so you can take action agaist them. if you go to youtube and search for brewii there is a nice video that shows usb loader.
Yes, we read this. Thank you for notifying us of these scammers! We'll look into it. Taking action against them will take a lot of time, which we can better invest in evolving the loader. The fact that they are asking money for our work is, in fact, unacceptable.
The automatic update does not update the meta.xml, actually, this is still an open issue, but with low priority.frailimbnursry said:Is it a problem with WBFS partition on my HDD or a problem with USB Loader GX? And any suggestions short of formatting the entire drive and beginning from scratch?
It could be a problem with USB Loader GX. Can you try the latest revision as of now (837 when I write this). Some users reported that their drive started working again with 834 and up.
QUOTE(ebusta @ Nov 18 2009, 03:39 PM) I used the updater inside USB Loader GX to update the latest version, however the meta.xml file says its 815. Did it actually update anything, or am I truly on 815 and all the update did was download the HBC display PNG and the meta.xml?

Any hints or things I could try?
We'll, I guess I was a bit bored, so I added automatic channel creation to the build process. The latest revisions (from 837 and up) will now also upload automatically to our google downloads page. Note that these channels are untested, so make sure you're having a brick protection installed.r-win said:Phil454, the channel doesn't have our priority for now, so the latest release is still at 815. If you want a higher revision, you should indeed take the forwarder channel and download the latest dol, or inject the latest dol into the 815 channel.phil454 said:I see, they rolled it back to 828. So it there a way I can force the Usb loader channel I downloaded to use Ver 833? Or would I have to use a forwarder for that?
We are looking into ways to make this also part of our automatic build process.

BTW, this does not mean that updating from within the channel is automatically the latest revision. For the channel updates the same rules apply as the normal version: only when we have enough "working" reports we will update our update server, so that the installed version will be able to upgrade. If you like bleeding edge releases, or want a particular feature from a new revision, you should update manually.
Yes. The application is (for a long time actually) capable of updating itself, even if it's installed as a channel. This is done by reinstalling the downloaded wad file, and since USB Loader GX is capable of installing wad files, it can do thatxflak40 said:r u saying that if we install a usb loader gx channel (not a forwarder), we run the app via the channel and update it using the program (provided there is an update available on your servers)
I thought to update a channel u had to actually reinstall an updated wad...??
No problem. It's a bit of a shame that I didn't know this either (the amount of revs, that is), so I guess I learned something new today tooxflak40 said:wow, 200 revisions!! I've been updating the dol on my sd card, but until Fat32 developments I never bothered to look at the changelog! sorry for asking you guys for a history lesson
