Hacking USB Loader GX

Hi tj_cool,

Hope you are still online, just arrived home and tried to correct the subfolders but still no go. Theme doesn't change, I'm just wondering what I'm doing wrong here. Where do you get your themes And how many themes do you have?

Also on R568, I get a stack when I tried to download a missing cover, but when I restarted the cover is there (so it downloaded) If I remember it right, hdhacker was trying to figure this out although I haven't followed.

Hope someone can help, maybe point me to a theme which I can try to put on my SD and apply on Gx.

heres my set up for themes it may help u


SD:/USBLoaderGX/theme/

then in the

/theme/

i have folders named

/1/
/2/
/3/
etc.....

e.g SD:/USBLoaderGX/theme/2/

in each of the numbered folder i have the theme it self

e.g White Version V7, all required .png files and GXtheme.cfg, or theme.txt files are in a numbered folder for ease of theme changing in GX

all u have to do is make sure u have GX points at the wright folders in the custom path setting

e.g this is mine for the themes folder in the GXGlobal.cfg file

wtheme_path = SD:/USBLoaderGX/theme/2/

Also be sure you have a 16:9 theme on a 16:9 tv and a 4:3 theme on a 4:3 tv. If you change the wii to widescreen (or to 4:3 depends on what your on) and it shows you have the wrong one...

Hi pepxl,

I have the below setup, although I don't have the second folder "theme". As mine is the Parent folder on the root as "wtheme" then inside that folder are the folder of each theme (I have Naruto, snakeandchrome, wii360, etc...) which contains all the theme png, cfg, etc.. files.

SD:/wtheme/snakeandchrome

SD:/wtheme/naruto

and the list goes on as I have around 10 themes on the wtheme folder.

It's just strange that it isn't working for me. Have tried deleting usb loader gx altogether and the config folder and it's still the theme issue I get and except the theme all is working fine as I can play anything I throw at it.

I'm still optimistic that I can make it work. Thank you also for your input

I have a Problem with the USBLoader.
When i start a game sometimes the Screen is black and then i have to reset my Wii.
I have a Western Digital WDMEW3200 (B8B)
The second Problem is after the update the language is english but i have a german file in the Folder.
Can somebody help me?

I don't even get an error, it just don't do anything. I just wish it throws up an error saying that I have a wrong directory or something missing or not matching so that I can start from somewhere.

I might redownload a theme and try one by one before adding so much theme on the sd card.

instead of

try

SD:/wtheme/1

SD:/wtheme/2

so your renaming folders snakeandchrome to 1 and naruto to 2

then in your GXGlobal.cfg

edit in notepad

wtheme_path = root:/wtheme/?/

root = SD or USB

where ? change to 1 or 2 then loader GX then go to custom path then change whatever you used to the other number and thats how you change themes quickly

Are you using a 3:4 or 16:9 TV?

unrar this file and copy dir 12 to your (root) sd card. Point loader to sd://12/.

config file is for 16:9. Give it a try. Is your wii set to 480P?

just tried some themes and they don't work on mine as well... strange
I don't need themes but I'll try to find out whats wrong

I live in Abu Dhabi, in the UAE (the richest city in the world). It is a pretty amazing place, and I even have a super speed fiber connection direct into my flat, EXCEPT, in order to keep out stuff like porn they filter all the traffic in the country thru a proxy. That means that I am having the most impossible time downloading the cover art files from Rapidshare.com. It ALWAYS gives me the error that I am trying to download too many files at once, and as a free user only can download one at a time. OR I get the error that says 'you have reached your limit for the day'

this is making me crazy, and it seems that the only link to the '3D Boxart - All in 1 Coverpack' file is here @ http://rapidshare.com/files/238492102/NAI1CP_28_05_09..rar

can someone PLEASE make a torrent of this file so I can get it finally? I have USB loader GX working great and it all I need is the cover art so that it doesnt just show a bunch of big question marks...

config file is for 16:9. Give it a try. Is your wii set to 480P?

It's at 480i, as the 480p is grayed out and cannot be selected.

It's the stock video cable, and by the way what is the STAR icon at the top (is that for Favorites as in Favorites games?). Can I add favorite games, is there a way?

I updated to R572 (downloaded from mediafire) and accidentally pressed the + button and I answered NO which gave me a STACK and CODE Dump..

Have you got it working (the themes) tj?

Sorry, but my english is bad.

On your first problem (are you using the channel, the forwarder of via HBC, kindly give some more details).

On your 2nd problem on the setting page, you can change the language.

i was only a few days not here to follow the thread, but i think i`ve missed something again .-)

be sure its a new language file: http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/sou...Fstate%3Dclosed
then change it in the GUI settings

have you tried my suggestion with theme in previous post

instead of

try
