Feature request: When sorting titles, you should ignore the first word if it's "A," "AN," or "THE." If you want to cover French, Italian and Spanish titles, check for "EL", "LA", "LE", "IL", and "L" and ignore those as well.

For example, if I'm looking for "The Simpson's Game," I want to find it under "S," not "T." BTW, this is how libraries sort titles.

Have you tried? It actually works with HBC 1.0.3 if you remove the SD card. It will load from the USB FAT32 partition and run.

Only problem is auto-update and cover downloading are not working because it is still looking for SD card.

We (and by we I mean, those of us that care about this) could just update your titles.txt file so that the games were like "Simpson's Game, The" like they should be. Then it would be ordered properly.

I just registered to ask for a couple faeture requests.

Have the update feature be based on either ELF or DOL depending on which is loaded. If it is not possible for the program to be self aware than an option would suffice.

Automatic update option.

Automatic update for titles.txt

Yes, you could do that, but it's a trivial fix to the title sorting.

hey, just bought myself a jap wii on ebay that i can finally use bootmii as boot2 on, but it also has a modchip which is giving me grief i think.... can't convert the wii to pal atm because of it or install dvdx (as i have no internet to install patchmii-core), but thats besides the point for now... when i play a game on usbloader and i try to exit to the wii menu, the screen just turns black and i have to hold the power button to turn it off and start again. is there anyway to avoid this or is it something to do with my modchip? and or video modes? (my tv can display pal and ntsc) any help would be great ;-)

side info, jap wii, 3.1J, cios38-rev12, and media player ce's cios202 (-dvdx), bootmii as boot2, unknown modchip

edit: ok used any region changer offline mod to upgrade to 3.2e but left shop channel and game mode as japan to keep the mod chip happy, but i let it mod the system menu to make everything region free as well, as last time it still wouldn't boot discs, but i still keep getting the black screen when i try to exit games via the usb loader... well some games.... i tried excite truck and it worked but metroid prime gets a black screen every time you quit... still more testing to do. but i'm just about ready to just rip the chip out haha

but i'm slowly making progress
wink.gif

edit 2: ok, not working to plan, used bootmii backup to go back to 3.1j...its definately the chip, any import game (ie anything other then ntsc-j) goes black screen when you try and quit, whether form the disc channel or usb loader. regardless of what region systemmenu is installed... ahh its driving me nuts... i just hope its a wii key (or at least a clone) and i can just try the wiikey disks to update and fix it up...

I don't know why but I can't launch games anymore

Last rev used + cIOS 13b.
Will try to come back to cIOS rev12 because I have code dump or when I launch a game, it freezes my Wii to a black screen

Hey, I have a 4GB usb stick, could I put a scrubbed game on it, put all the stuff required to run this on it, and get the game to work? Could I run something from a laptop to my Wii to work this?

I posted before that there was a problem with rev464 and the wii remote taking 12 sec to show up after everything else loads up. Well I have found that the new wad forwarder for some reason dose not have this problem. I did not see a reason to update the forwarder just for a few changes to the picture you only see for 1 sec and then it is gone. But if anyone else is having this problem, just try using the new forwarder and you should be fine.

I'm using rev 463 and every time I use any feature that need internet connection (via LAN adapter) it crashes. Is there no support for net via LAN adapter?
if you are not using cIOS rev12,13(a/b) you wont have any support for lan adapters. Make sure that you use the right usb port for the lan adapter when you are on cIOS rev12+

I did have similar problems. Now I run cIOS rev12 and r464 and all seems to be very stable. Tried a couple of games no startup problems no freezes. Also can confirm that a problem game like de Blob that always needed a disk in the drive now runs properly without any disk.

Hmm... I rolled back to 457, and all of my music is visible in the options (as opposed to only the last song being available in 464). But I still get intermittent lockups at times when loading a game. The menu fades out a little, but not completely and the music and cursor are still functional.

I had the same trouble using later revisons of the loader and cIOS Rev13b. I found that half the games had to be set to Video Mode - Autopatch and half had to be Disk Default. If this setting was wrong then the loader would freeze often with the cursor still moving but no buttons working. Once all the video modes for each game have been tested and saved everything is working ok, this took forever as we have 56 games installed and each time it stallled we had to hard re-set the Wii. I have also found the Wii has to be powered off between games or the loader hangs.

Also**** cIOS222 is now broken on my Wii. It works fine with MplayerCE but when I try to use cIOS222 with USB loader it says "You don't have cIOS222," "Using cIOS249 insted," this will then usually be followed by a stack dump.

I have cIOS Hermes USB installed to the following locations: (version taken from MplayerCE site)
202 with IOS36
222 with IOS36
223 with Combined IOS36 and 37

I also have Waninkoko's USB Rev13b installed to 249.

I'm using 3.2E with r463 and cios rev 13.

When I'm playing a game and choose to go the the Wii Menu to start USB loader again and play an other game. The other game won't start. I get a hard crash (no codedumps) and I'm stuck at a screen with just the theme background. I can move my pointer through the screen, but the game won't start. I have to unplug the power cable to restart the wii and the game will work again...

Any way to fix this?

I have installed the rev12 and all new rev does not work propelly as before with rev9. I see rev13b is even worst.
I have just a question. To come back to rev9 I just need to re-launch the rev9 installer and it will overwrite the rev12 without problems?

Regards

thats what i dont get, shouldnt it be a simple code fix to get it read all necessary files from the hdd? This would save me alot of trouble because my sd rarely works, i have to try over and over again for it to work. Also, for you guys having compatibiliyt issues, heres what i run with NO problems

cIOS rev10
Ios 249
Loader ver. R464
Western digital my passport 320 gb with 149 wfbs part and 149 ntfs part
3.2u wii
Thanks

marinos35: I downloaded the disc pack you have on the site in your sig, but they do not work with the GX loader, They do not seem to be named properly.

the pack at my site is mirror of the file at the first post so it is not my fault

And you are right, they are named with 4 characters when it should have been "6 or 3 characters". I will try fix the names but it is difficult since if I reduce them to 3 some will be overwritten and I can't add random characters to make them 6. So wait for NeoRama (I think it was him) to upload a new pack.

Weird but I think the loader should check also for 4 characters (at least that's what I saw at source). Check that you have set the correct path for your disc images. A common mistake is the last letter of disc. Some use disk others disc
