I guess it is perfectly possible. In this case there would be nothing I could do to fix it, until a new release of USBLGX with the proper fixes is launched.

Thanks for answering!

I actually seen your post the other day, but I assumed you'd figured out the problem since you'd found and liked my post.

If Priiloader isn't critical to your setup then I'd recommend uninstalling it until I release a new update. Otherwise changing the game window mode to rotating disc will work around the problem.

Thanks a lot! I was kind of worried at first, because I thought something was broken in my vWii. But now that I am aware that the only issue between priiloader and usbloader gx is that I cannot see some buttons, well, I've decided I can live with that.

Thanks again for all your efforts and your amazing work. My Wii U has been connected to my TV during all these years mainly because people like you still bring live to the system.

Best regards!

Injecting USB Loader GX v3.0 r1281 with Teconmoon's WiiVC injector hard locks the console (Wii U) after the gamepad Wii logo (need to disconnect power cord). The console also hard locks when choosing to return to the (v)Wii menu via the HOME button. Am I doing something wrong? I should add that the loader starts normally when run from the HB channel.

You're not supposed to inject the loaders DOL file. Instead install this forwarder WAD and inject this forwarder DOL. Then install the WUP to the systems memory.

There are some known vWii bugs that I've fixed for the next release, but in general the loaders only useful as a Nintendont frontend when it's used as an inject since Wii games can't be played this way.

Is this documented anywhere? My naive reasoning was that the injector simply tricks the vWii into launching a homebrew directly without HBC.
I don't think there's a specific post that talks about it in detail, but I can tell you that cafe2wii is what gets you into vWii mode and that's what's getting patched. But in this mode the USB ports can't be accessed and the d2x cIOS doesn't function correctly, so you can't play Wii games from an SD card either.

If you inject a Wii game then it'll work as it's patched and repackaged as a WUP. But USB devices (e.g. an ethernet adapter) still won't work.

Oh, and since I have your attention : thank you again for your work, the deflicker feature is so great! One little request, if I may... could it be possible to disable/enable wiimote rumble per game? Some games are too sensitive, and therefore virtually unplayable with it (hello "House of the Dead Overkill" and "Ikenie No Yoru"), but others use it quite cleverly, so it would be great to get the best of the two worlds.
Good evening folks, and once again thank you @blackb0x for all the efforts put into USB Loader GX.

I kind of understand from your last message that you're planning on releasing a new version some day, and since I had left a little request about the possibility to disable wiimote features per game*, I'd like to respectfully add something about the speaker...

Dunno if it can be done or if you have time / interest in it, but I noticed the speaker (while a nice feature most of the time) can bring issues to some games : for example, there are comments way back to 2006 about how Red Steel's cursor gets reinitialized if you let the speaker on, and I seem to believe it's correct.

Anyway, that's just a suggestion, as I sure appreciate your wonderful work which I use on almost daily basis!

Thanks for your time and attention, and have a nice Ko-fi! ;)

*PS : About the rumble feature, I'd like to add Metroid Other M also could use a per game profile, as it seems to absolutely drain my battery when it's on! Good night!

So you'd like the option to disable the speaker? That should be doable, assuming I can locate the function and it doesn't change much from game to game.

I don't suppose you know of a game or two that uses the speaker at the title screen?

Thanks a lot ^_^

Hello @blackb0x !

I know both Mario Galaxy games, the Resident Evil chronicles games, and Twilight Princess use the speaker on the title screen.

But if you're asking about games that output sound from the speaker without the player pressing any button, the only example I have in mind is "Takt of Magic" (where the speaker makes sound as the save file is loaded, before the actual title screen).

Hope these information will prove to be useful, have a nice WE. :)

But homebrew like Wiiflow or USBLoader run from vWii mode, no? So why do they work?
Because it's not the normal vWii mode once it's been patched and launched that way. Instead it's like a hybrid, since it gives you basic access to the Wii U GamePad and homebrew can run at 1.215 GHz instead of 729 MHz. But then your USB ports no longer work.

If you search around the forum or online you'll find lots of posts telling you the same thing.

At last, i put more MLP music in the loader, like 15-20 new songs
But, how i do every time i start the loader changes the song and don´t play the same song that plays the last time?

Is there a way to get the “Return To” channel feature to apply for GameCube (Nintendont) games as well? I have the feature set to return back to the Homebrew Channel, and that works properly for Wii games, but GameCube games return back to USB Loader GX regardless of what the global setting is set to. I also see that the individual game settings show an option for this feature in Wii games, but not GameCube games, so perhaps this is a feature that can’t be supported. Thanks in advance.

@blackb0x hey!

I bought a wiiu and I have the interest to use your usbloader update to play with my Wii & GC copies.

But I have a question, with the WiiU and using vWii can I load Wii and Gamecube games from the microSD?

Good morning,

yes you can, but it's slower than an external hard drive.

myself or others people , suggested an external hard drive.

you can use a single external hard drive format in Wii U format, then inject wii and Gamecube games with WiiVC Injector Script (GC/Wii/Homebrew Support) from TeconMoon ==>

I am using USB Loader GX rev 1281 with an external SSD. Most of my games launch and return to USB Loader GX upon game exit. Excite Truck, Mario Kart Wii, and Kirby Return to Dreamland do not. I have the UNEO Channel Booter for Priiloader dol set as installed file with Autoboot set to Installed File and return to set to autoboot. I left the return to setting in USB Loader GX blank as Priiloader settings should relaunch the UNEO forwarder upon game exit. Does anyone know if any other settings need to be adjusted to get these games to exit without freezing the Wii.

I have d2x-v11-beta1-vWii installed in slots 248 (38 base), 249 (56 base), 250 (57 base), and 251 (58 base). USB Loader GX set to default of 249

I think the issue is somehow connected to Priiloader. As I am on Wii U, the vWii version of Priiloader should allow auto-booting and return to USB Loader GX simple. While some games worked others did not. Upon removing Priiloader and configuring USB Loader GX to relaunch itself upon game exit all my games work again. Guess there are some bugs to squash in Priiloader before it will be viable to use in conjunction with USB Loader GX. Hope this helps anyone who may have similar setup and issues.

It doesn't remember the last played song and will always start over. That's just the way it's designed to work.

Is there a way to get the “Return To” channel feature to apply for GameCube (Nintendont) games as well?
The feature is handled by the d2x cIOS for Wii games, but for homebrew like Nintendont it's handled by the homebrew channels reload stub.

If I were to make some changes then I might be able to get your preferred setting to apply to Nintendont. However, if you were to uninstall the UNEO channel then Nintendont will reload to the HBC without me needing to make any changes.

You can't install the d2x cIOS to slot 248 with base 38 on vWii.

When I've got some time this weekend I'll see if this issue occurs for me with r1281 and my WIP version on my Wii U.

If I am able to replicate the issue then it'll be up to the Priiloader devs to fix it, since the issue would only occur when Priiloaders installed.
