hmm, are there any read-me's for this?

i realise that it probably needs a few config files placed in places, was just wondering where and what the config would contain?

also, is there a channel of it yet? i'm still running the very first 1.1 through a channel and its so much more boring than this XD

You can download the source at once using Tortoise SVN.

And for the logs.... THERE IS NO RELEASE YET... YOU ARE DEALING WITH RAW SOURCES.... so if you want a complete log go to the google page. I'll keep you up to date as good as i can but i can't post the whole log at the main page since it's at rev110 already

    use this forwarder channel http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TX37FAZ7
    it's pointed to \apps\usbloader\boot.dol
with this many updates being released, that is a lot easier

It's probably for the best, after downloading any pngs through the loader (this one and the ultimate loader) the loader will crash to HBC when trying to view them, and they only show up as black boxes if I look at them on my SD card on my computer.

I have a related bug to that, it won't display any png files I get myself either. It will display the DVD images, but not the game covers. They're all 160x225 and png files, so I don't understand it. The loader doesn't crash in this case though, it just displays nothing (it doesn't display the NO GAME COVER picture).

Edit: Looking at the OP, it says they need to be 160x224, yet http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/ has them all downloadable at 160x225, is that the reason they are not displaying for me?

Edit Edit: On further inspection, yes, that is the problem. Why does your loader only take images that are one pixel less tall than what seems to be the standard size for these things?

I concur with both of these, software should always have the version number somewhere in it (the config menu would be a good place if you don't want it visible). And when you release the stable version, please please release it in an archive that already has all the folders made so it can just be extracted to an SD card with no hassle. It will cut down on countless people asking questions over and over about where everything goes.

And please include meta.xml and icon.png files. Even if they're generic, just have something in there.

Slight error on most recent revision - when pressing wii button the HBC option although links back to HBC actual now says return to loader.

Great work on this loader - the amount of functionality is amazing - But one personal observation - I don't like the Font in the game list - some titles bend in and out. As a preference i would like something more boring!

new question, i'm not so bothered about the config.txt now because it'll just load defaults if there isnt one right?

anyways, the new question is about boqart and disc cover art.

does the box art need to have the 6 digit game ID? all the ones i have are the correct size and have the 6 digit ID

and the dvd art? does that need to have 3, 4 (with the region letter) or all 6? coz when i've been DL'ing them i've been adding the extra region letter after the first 3...

the loader first looks for 6digit covers, then if not found it looks for 3digit covers and if nothing found it displays the default

That's the problem.... the images need to be 160x224 for this app.

Load them up, change the "Paper Size" or "Canvas size" (depends on the app, I use Corel PhotoPaint) to reduce the size by one pixel row.

Try using www.theotherzone.com/wii/resize/width/height/gamecode.png to resize the images. Its a link written for loaders with auto download for example

There's no easy way to automate that for all my games, I'll just do it myself.

I'm just wondering why that one row of pixels is such a sticking point for the loader. Is it a limitation of the code or is it just arbitrary? If it's a limitation of the code that's fine, I'm just wondering.

I just noticed that if I try to launch rev109 or rev110 from wiiload it will give you a black screen crash but if I put it in a folder like sd:/apps/usbloader it runs normal.

Nope, and its meant for the auto downloading loaders so they can resize for their own needs. If downloading covers is implimented into this loader then you wont have to worry about it any more.
Im not keeping up with what loader does what any more so im not 100% sure if this one has it or not , but i believe its planned if its not already in.

Is there a way to disable the game code under the box cover? I find it unnecessary.
