Legacy Games completely shutting down on February 28, 2027. More info here.
"February 28, 2027: Last day to download and install your purchased games. Servers and the website close."
just wanted to highlight this for those that actually care about that joke of a "store"

Something something ownership, something something physical.

Is there any way to tell what games I might have on their site besides installing their launcher?
I have a saved password but it's telling me it's wrong, and I'm not receiving a password reset email. Loving this.

I guess the emphasis was on "purchased", because most of us didn't actually buy a single game on there, and only got free games via amaon prime gaming/luna.

You can log into their website and under "My Account", you'll find owned games under either "my purchased games" (unlikely) or "my free games". There doesn't seem to be a way to download them there, though. And if you can't login to their launcher, you'll probably not be able to log into their website, either.

That being said, probably not worth worrying about it. it looks like the store almost exclusively sold "hidden object" games.

I guess a lot of people will get what they wanted: no more free Legacy Games codes from Amazon Luna.

I did some research, and the games are DRM free, but since the launcher is needed to install the games there's not an easy default way to save the installers to install later on. However, a redditor found a workaround.

I experimented with it, and it looks like you can change the location that the installer downloads to by editing %APPDATA%\legacy-games-launcher\app-state.json to change the value for "gameDownloadPath" under "settings". The default is the temp folder, but you can change it to wherever you want, and it will download to that new location. Notably, while the download step uses this value, the installation step hardcodes the temp directory, so changing this value will prevent the game from installing. If your goal is to simply backup the installer EXEs, this will allow you to both download the installers to an easier-to-access location and skip the installation step.

I'll never play the games, but I'll safekeep them. One day, in the inevitable apocalypse that will happen and we become cave dwellers, there will come time to clear the backlog.
