I have read multiple threads on the forum regarding the problem of USB Loaders (not just USB Loader GX) getting stuck at the "USB Initializing" Message. I have tried the suggestions of changing the Loading IOS -> IOS58 from the GUI and that makes it load every time but the issue is that the games don't load. Am I missing something there to get the games to work correctly?

I have also tried changing the meta.xml manually with IOS58 but then it gets stuck on reloading devices message.

I have tried Wiiflow as well and it has similar behavior.

From what I have read so far, it looks like an issue with the USB HDD and so if there isn't something that I'm missing I will get another HDD. I just wanted to make sure that I'm not missing something with the setup.

I am using Rev. 1271.

Thanks,

to get games to work, you need to install d2x cIOS v8 or v10r52

also note that FLASHDRIVES are NOT WORKING.
be sure to use real external HDD, plugged into USB Port 0 (bottom port on Wii, back-top on WiiU)

Sorry for not clarifying before about the setup. I have the following setup:
  • cIOS 249 base 56 v10 beta52
  • cIOS 250 base 57 v10 beta52
The message of "Initializing USB Device" only gets stuck on the 2nd boot i.e. leaving the game and going back to USB Loader GX. I am able to successfully load it the first time using 250 (since I saw you recommended this on another post).

If I change the setting to Loader to IOS 58 it loads every time but none of the games will load.

I tried manually changing the argument in the meta.xml and it loads the usb but gets stuck on trying to reload the cIOS (I forget the exact message).

Also, it's an External HDD. I first tried a Toshiba 500 GB and just tried a WD 1 TB Drive with the same result.

I also tried NTFS and FAT32 formats with the same result.

If I can't get it to work it's not that big of a problem I will just need to restart the system when I want to switch the game; not a big deal. I was just thinking that I'm probably missing something with changing the loader setting to IOS 58 as I saw that worked for others in different posts on this forum.

Thanks for all of your awesome work.
