Hi, I'm new her but have been browsing this forum several days for answers, however nothing has fixed my problem.
I have a NTSC Wii running on 4.3U update with Homebrew. I have also made cIOS using dx2 IOS Installer as to get USB Loader GX to work properly. (I followed tutorials to a t from Wii Guide)
I'm using an ISO of Project Zero 2:Wii Edition that works fine on Dolphin on my PC, but I have been trying to get it to work via USB Loader GX and had it work once then reverts back to a black screen and I have to hard reset it.
I have the video settings to force NTSC, and the loader is on 249 as I've read in other threads in this forum I have also made USB Loader GX a channel on my wii and have downloaded all the available wads via Multi Mod Manager and still nothing.
I dont know what I'm doing wrong, I've been searching for answers and a lot of the results for this game are very old or non existent. I've done all the fixes besides downloading WiiFlow, which I was planning on this afternoon, but I'm scared that I may never be able to experience this game. (I know that the PS2 version is readily available, but I want the experience of this version of the game as well)
If anyone can help me I would be so grateful.

your report is correct.

test your game with the cios 250 in the settings of your game, but I'm not sure it will work.

or test your game with wiiflow or configurable loader v70.

Or redo the dump (original copy).

usb keys in general do not work well with the wii (often black screen or do not start at all) , prefer an externen hard drive for better connectivity.

What do you mean by Redo the dump? (I'm dumb, excuse me)
I haven't tested anything as of yet (Busy mom life, one tv to split with the spouse) but I'm definitely going to try your suggestions. I just put wii flow onto the Wii's SD card and hope that something will work.
I've read (on this site of course) that usb thumb drives are sometimes the problem, and if i had an external hard drive that I had access to I totally would. Just trying to work with what I have before I fully give up on using the thumb drive.

Update:
Tried changing to cIos 250, no change. Tried wiiFlow, still black screens.
I've even tried at this point to burn the game onto a DVD+R, which I realize that it only really works on a DVD-R. In my panic to try to get it to work I have yet to try the configurable loader v70, but I'm thinking that my flash drive is cursed and just isnt wanting to be with my wii.

I have the video settings to force NTSC.

Hello.:)

You know this is a PAL Game ? :)

Did you use the regular Version or the Undub Version ?

https://www.gametdb.com/Wii/SL2P01

https://www.gametdb.com/Wii/SL2PUD

I have used the SL2P01 - Project Zero 2: Wii Edition

It works on

- USBLoader GX v3.0 r1272 without changing Settings.
- WiFlow x5.2.0 without changing any Settings
- Configurable USBLoader v70 r78.11 without changing Settings.

I have tried it on HDD and with USB Sticks (Intenso 64GB and 128 GB).
It works on all Devices.:)

The Wii uses this Configuration:

IOS249[57] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Zugriff, USB 2.0
IOS250[56] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Zugriff, USB 2.0

Maybe your Game/ISO is not ok ? :(

Please check your Game/ISO with an MD5 / CRC32 Tool:
http://esrg.sourceforge.net/utils_win_up/md5sum/

and compare it please:
https://www.gametdb.com/Wii/SL2P01

Good Luck.
Thank you.:)

Okay, (Yes I know it was a PAL game, I read somewhere on the Forum that you had to force NTSC, maybe I misunderstood.) The CRC-32 and The MD-5 Doesn't match. I got the regular version via the Emuparadise forums where to download it I had to have it in parts. (7 to be exact) I dont know if maybe the splitting made the game not right? Or the fact that I downloaded it in general just makes it not work/is a sin and a crime against Nintendo.

Update: downloaded two of the normal versions of the game, one a Wbfs and the other was an Iso
The Iso file size matched but nothing else did. The wbfs Also didn't match. I have no idea how I'm supposed to match or find the match it makes no sense.
