Could also be that you dont have a SD card in the slot. I noticed lately that USB Loader GX seems to absolutly need a SD card to start up or it will crash with a dump.
Well, that is with my setup, I have USB Loader GX installed as a full channel with a .wad file. I'm almost sure I can run without any SD card at all, but I couldn't figure it out.
