if he's on aroma, he can use boot2vwii. it's the same deal though where you need the forwarder on the vwii to send you to the sd card, otherwise it will return you to the wiiu menu. it should theoretically work with anything as long as those conditions are met, but you do have to compile it, which is quite easy as there's only one file, so the odds of failure are very low.
