I get an Error 4 occurred when trying to defrag my 500 GB WD with 113 games.
This happens just after the second game is "installing for defrag (2 of 113)"

Retrying or waiting 30 seconds does not help.

And... When trying to just extract the games, WBFS GUI v0.1.2 crashed after 25 games.
This works fine with other WBFS GUI applications without the defrag.

Would be happy to test a new version of this.

Crap. How hard would it be to create an "add only" version of the dol?
Well they already have 'kid proof' versions which disable the add and remove functions from the GUI. So it's possible

I know about the childproof version, but it doesn't have adding either. Seems like dump and play only should be a good idea.

Quite frankly, I'd be happy to be able to just copy the games off the wbfs partition onto a NTFS partition without them blowing up to over 4 GB each. I'd just reformat the wbfs partition and then copy the ones I wanted to keep back.

-Yes that would be nice to.

Same here. I like the idea of being able to defrag my drive.

Put them in a compressed folder, then check the size on disk. lol, animal crossing went from
4.37 GB to 335 MB.

Error 4 means file is not supported. Which Game did you try to extract? Perhaps it was corrupted before.

Ok, I found out why error 4 occures. While there should be enough free continuous space for the first game to be installed, it overwrites the second. It's a wbfslib bug I think. For now if you want to defrag your drive extract ALL of your games first. TroyTheZombie's idea of using a ntfs compressed folder is great. For later I will give up the space saving approach of reinstalling single games and will always extract all games before installing.

That works so long as you have enough space on your computer, but not everyone does. >_< Either way, thanks for this GUI. It's way better than the ones I've used before it.

if you have to extract all your games then you might's well just format it afterwards so u dont have to defrag

This only applies to full defrag. Quick defrag is still faster because it does not reinstall all games. I've still not found corrupted games while using quick defrag with all games extracted before.

Uploaded a new version. Changelog:
* fast defrag does not corrupt games anymore (but uses more local disk space)
* quick defrag should be safer also (but is still experimental)
+ option to set the NTFS compress flag of ISO folder (leads to smaller ISO sizes and seams to speed up extraction)

What is the error your receiving on the games? does it happen to be "An Error has occured, Press the Eject Button and remove the disc"
