Hacking USB Game Backups stop working.

Im on Wii System Menu 4.2. I've been running my Wii backups off a USB hard drive. Then yesterday it began to start acting funny, my Sisters Harvest Moon: Animal Parade froze before it got to the title screen. Now today, None of my backups are working. Twilight Princess shows the Wii remote warning, then it goes to a black screen and nothing more. I can press the Home button to bring up the home menu, but if I tried to go back to the Wii menu or press Reset game, the wii locks up. (Wii motes doesnt sync) Whats wrong? I use a Seagate HDD.

Happened to me too. I fixed it by using anytitledeleter to delete everything off my Wii except necessities eg. IOS files and System menu. Bootmii was the only hack left on my Wii. From there use bannerbomb to install HBC and then only install the bare minimum you need to run backups eg. one cios file instead of 3 or 4.

Worked for me.
