Okay well I have all files and folders visible.
Still don't have the NAND file it's asking me for because obviously it was renamed. I still have no idea why my SD card is so full when there isn't much on it and I still have a bricked vWii.

According to that NAND restorer it'salright, I misunderstood, but the slcmpt.bin and keys.bin go here: sd:/vwiinandrestorer/slccmpt.bin
It looks a little "different" because on the "No Patches" I think it should stay "NAND Access".![]()
That SysCheck looks completely fine to me. All the default IOS are unpatched and the 3 cIOS are patched like recommended in the guide.Your IOS looks weirdly pathed so it's highly recommended to start over from scratch. Feel free to ignore this advise, too, but here are the steps:
That's expected. The guide recently switched to the Open Homebrew Channel, which has more recent updates and works better on vWii. The SysCheck tool hasn't been updated in ages and doesn't detect that version of the HBC.I just find it very strange the report said I didn't have the Homebrew Channel installed yet I'm able to go through the Homebrew Channel in vWii easily because it's installed along with the other apps. What's the missing link?
is the nand.bin and slcmpt identical? mine is one KB larger than the other. though, I think it might have a certain type of header like a lot of psx save converters create.
The nand.bin from DumpMiiNand contains some additional information. Both dumps work fine with the vWii NAND Restorer though and like @Alexander1970 mentioned, you can just rename the file.As I said before that Alexander guy told me to rename the nand.bin as slccmpt
Like Alexander mentioned multiple times it would help if you tell us what options you chose, and if it generated a log file.Restore NAND doesn't work by the way. I get an error message about that file.
Seems like your SLCCMPT was cleared? If it can't delete the files which will be redownloaded they're already gone.I tried that. Does nothing. Went into Advanced Mode and said yes to everything. Said cannot delete 'tik' for everything.
That's not necessary. As mentioned previously both nand types are supported by the NAND restorer.delete the part I mentioned in a hex editor. see if it then equals the size of mine photo.
Maybe you deleted the backup file a few times and it ended up in the recycle bin on your SD Card?Still don't have the NAND file it's asking me for because obviously it was renamed. I still have no idea why my SD card is so full when there isn't much on it and I still have a bricked vWii.
So the smaller USB drive I can use was formatted to FAT32. The WiiU still doesn't read it. Not only that but the drive as a result of the formatting now cannot be read by my computer. I'm not sure how to get my computer to detect the drive.Regarding the original issue with the USB drive: Dumb question, but have you tried just using another drive?
Flash drive or HDD? Flash drives don't work well with USB loaders. So the smaller USB drive I can use was formatted to FAT32. The WiiU still doesn't read it. The bigger drive I didn't format because I knew the above result might happen. This bigger drive is detected by the WiiU in the sense it asks me if I wish to format it. However apart from that vWii cannot detect it. Using it in Nintendont doesn't get it to detect the drive and USB Loader GX crashes when trying to mess with the hardware path. The same result in fact as with the smaller drive. On USB Loader it only has for all the options SD as selectable anyway.
EDIT: The bigger drive is USB 2.0, the smaller one is 3.0, no difference in results between them.
No flash sticks. Portable HDD like WD Passport and Seagate USB drives.Flash drive or HDD? Flash drives don't work well with USB loaders.
I figured out what's causing all the space to be taken up but not sure what to delete. My root has a slccmpt and slc.bin file. Not only that but the root also contains a 13 part mlc.bin, each part taking up just over 2 GB each. What do I delete from these?Maybe you deleted the backup file a few times and it ended up in the recycle bin on your SD Card?
That is your NAND Backup from the Wii U NAND.Not only that but the root also contains a 13 part mlc.bin, each part taking up just over 2 GB each.

Did as you said and it didn't work. I was never actually auto booted into Tiramisu anyway. I always had to switch it on via Health and Safety. I did do Force Update. Not sure how it would let me know it's updated on reboot but I assume it did. Went into Wii mode and while it doesn't kick me back to Wii U what I get now is a blank screen. I have to reset the console when this happens. Do you know what to do next or how to diagnose the problem? Now back to fixing the vWii, I would download the vWii Decaffeinator and use the "Force Update" option.
Then follow the "Updating with Tiramisu" in the README on github to update with Tiramisu. That should download any missing files on your vWii NAND.
Regarding the original issue with the USB drive: Dumb question, but have you tried just using another drive?
I did what I was asked to do. Can't say much more. I'm reading other people who have said the same problem and apparently I'm supposed to delete my Internet connection settings for some reason?did you update though like the normal update method for the system? I think that's what you're supposed to do.
Did you go into System Settings and select update? Does it tell you you're up to date or give you an error?I did what I was asked to do. Can't say much more. EDIT: Nope. I disconnected the LAN adapter cable and deleted all Internet connection types in my Settings. Still the same problem.
Tried that just now. First time it gave me an error. Second time it connected and said I'm up to date. Still didn't work.Did you go into System Settings and select update? Does it tell you you're up to date or give you an error?
"Force Update" forces the console to be able to download an update. You still need to go to the system settings and perform the update. Try forcing an update again and use another internet connection.Shouldn't the Force Update reinstall the files necessary that make the vWii go to the Wii warning/press A screen?
I did. Now instead of a black screen my game pad tells me to change my TV settings to the Wii U console. I tried to change the settings but nothing happens. I tried using Light mode and Advanced Options but no difference."Force Update" forces the console to be able to download an update. You still need to go to the system settings and perform the update.
