For a while I'd known my usb for my wii was flaking out, but i ignored it since I don't play too often. But now of course I find I want to go back and play and I've got the click of death.

So I'm rebuilding my wii usb drive.
I have two questions, one technical and another opinion:
1) I recall hacking some file in order to make the "Home" button essentially crash the wii and return to it's original boot rather than loading the real nand system menu. (I have boot2->priiloader->postloader on a fresh startup) but I can't find the hack anymore and now when I'm in a game and hit "Home" it loads my real NAND which ideally I never want to see.

2) Have I missed out on anything in the last 6 months? Last I was active I was playing with DML and successfully loading GC games from Postloader. Any new developments since around that time? I see many emulator updates in the latest postloader so I might dabble with that, the wii seems the perfect box to run old NES games on. I've loaded the latest d2x cios, anything else I might be needing to do to "catch-up"?
