Hardware USB Controllers

Hi, I just got a USB Gamecube controller recently, (I went with a USB controller to save money on an adapter) and it works fine with dolphin, but I don't know how to get it to work on my Wii or Wii U. Please help, I want to play MK8 with a GC Controller. (PS: It's unbranded, and yes I opened it to look for a company name. no luck...)
