I recently bought a usb c 2.0 cable I wanted to know if these will work just fine getting into rcm mode/being able to load atmosphere when its released?

It’s actually dependent on if your USB port supports xchi most usb 3 ports support it natively that’s why it was recommended.

The cable doesn't matter for RCM as long as it's not one of the cables that's power only and no data.
In general you do have to make sure the cable has a 56k ohm resistor when it comes to A-to-C adapters/cables though. That one does so you should be good to go.
Improper resistance can fry the charger and worst case fry the Switch (applies to other devices like phones and laptops too)
