ROM Hack usage [CTR decrypter] and [3DSromDecryptor Key Generator]

hi all,

with the latest developments going on in the decryption of 3ds games & homebrew, 2 questions were raised by me:

1) what is the difference in use between team fails "3DS rom Decryptor key generator"and VOiD's "ctr decryptor"?

2) is it possible to decrypt the contenct of .cia with one of both programs?

The decrypted key generator in itself is fairly useless(as in you can't decrypt anything with it on itself) voids decryption tool actually generates the xorpad to decrypt the rom itself

.CIA files would only be possible if the tools are made to support it and there have been no mentions of that... so most likely not, but the only way to know is to try it.

Team Fail's generator generates keyY for NCCH header 0.

VOiD's release generates keyY and ctr for all 8 possible NCCH headers by looking at the master NCSD header. Our 3DS tool takes these keys and generates XOR pads which can be used to decrypt the files.

We don't have .CIA file support in the release. But we have got it working since then.

Shame it could not extract you're 3DS key from it, Xorpads are only the games exheader , exefs , romfs , But not the hole NCCH decrypted as the hole 3ds 00000000.app you're 3ds encrypted .

If once have you're key , then maybe comeup with a program that will use you're key to make you're encrypted 00000000.app from the NCCH ROM files , est est .

Issue I'm having is title.00040000.000d7e00.content.00000000.app.xorpad from someone else 3DS is not decrypting my 000d7e00 / 00000000.app properly ... , So I assume the files must be made from my 3DS right ?, but shame my 3ds latest firmware beyond doing this v9.2 , until new GW are some think .

If you have the same files could you please upload an image of what a proper padxorer Decrypted file should look like in hex ? , game I was trying was Subwars driver .

There is support for decrypting files off of the SD Card in the latest version.

That will not work as the files on the sd card are encrypted with a unique per-console key.

Just search for the magic (NCCH).
