Hacking Upgrading from 3.2E to 4.1E

ive got the wasabi chip in mine and homebrew channel, will i lose any homebrew apps if i upgrade and will i still need the twilight hack? also whats the best app to upgrade with?

The Twilight Hack is dead in 4.x. Bannerbomb is the method used to run homebrew without the HBC.

If you upgrade via Nintendo, you'll lose the fakesigning bug in pretty much every IOS except cIOS. Everybody seems to advocate Waninkoko's Firmware Upgrader 4.1, as long as you have enough free space (always read those README files!).

Personally, I update by hand, and selectively install WADs.

i would recommend to install bootmii, make a backup of your nand and then run waninkoko's 4.1 updater
then install the patched ios60 (to run pirated channels from sd) and then install preloader 0.29 (for cool system menu hacks)

- 150-250 free blocks.
- Internet connection.

Installing Bootmii is a good idea, too.
