I’m running into some issues attempting to hack my wii. As stated, I get a DSI error when attempting to download the homebrew channel on my wii. Initially, I thought it was an SD card issue so I tried it through wifi and the same thing is happening!! I don’t have any other hacks/mods (to my knowledge) and I’m lost. ALSO, the other solutions I’ve found seem to be SD card related as well and concern certain homebrew apps such as emulators… which can’t be the issue.

Thanks in advance

Ah, DSI crashes, the curse that fucked over Wii homebrew scene for many years to come!

Did these things happened back in the day as well? or was it just Nintendo's fuckery over firmwares around the release of the Wii U and the WII mini?

As far as I know... DSI errors happens when there's a reading issue with your memory.

So, my advice would be to try another SD for the hacking process.

A 2GB SD is recommended because it's less prone to errors.

If you don't have any other laying around, format your card to fat32 with a 32k cluster size.
