I just got the message saying a system update is required on my switch when trying to load a game.. I use an sx os pro and am looking for your recommended guide to follow to update the system firmware. System firmware is currently 7.0.1. Custom firmware is 2.9.2.

Thanks for any help

Turn off WiFi, don't install the update. When using SX you aren't supposed to be online as u may get banned, if u wanna update backup ur nand and use choixdujour.

Thanks for the reply. The wifi has been turned off. I have never used the program you mentioned though, so I was wondering which guide people thinks is the best. I'm guessing I could figure it out, but just wanted to read through a guide first just to make sure. I have seen a few different guides is why I was wondering.

Thanks again

It is recommended that you use ChoiDujourNX to update to 9.1.0. Make sure you update your CFW before doing so. If you don't want AutoRCM installed, make sure you deselect that option.

In the future, you should install 90DNS and/or Incognito to block update alerts and prevent a ban.

"1) Download the latest SX OS release and put it on your micro sd card.
2) Download the latest release of ChoiDujourNX and put it in your switch folder.
3) Download the firmware files for 9.1 from Google and put them in a "firmware" folder on your micro sd card.
4) Backup saves or NAND before updating.
5) Update. By default autoRCM is enabled. Untick it if you don't want it. Also make sure to choose the exFAT version if your micro sd is formatted in exFAT"
