I'm thinking it's probably been at least 10 years since I had my Wii Modded and just recently got an HDMI option for it so I can use it now. Unfortunately, I wasn't the one to do it so I don't have any saved backups or anything from before the hacking so it's got me a little nervous. The Wii itself looks to be still on firmware 3.2U and has some stuff on it already. Looks like an absolute mess.

-Homebrew channel 1.1.0 on IOS37v22.31
-Configurable USB Loader v70-mod-r15
-USB Loader GX 2.3 r1123
-uLoader 4.8
-Wad Manager 1.1
-Backup Launcher 0.3 gamma
-cIOS Installer 0.3 gamma
-GC Backup Launcher 0.2
-GCMM 1.0
-MIOS Patcher 0.1 XI
-MIOS Patching Wad Install 1.1
-NeoGamma R9 Beta 36
-Priiloader 0.3
-Riivolution v1.04
-SoftChipR99
-Wad Installer
-Wad Uninstaller

Honestly looks like a bunch of garbage to me. What should I do to clean all this up and just have everything up to date? Just afraid to do anything and then have the darn thing brick on me.

You may want to start by using priiloader/bootmii to create a nand file to backup in case of any bricking. Copy your SD card in case you want old copies. Then I would just start from scratch to be honest, update to 4.3 and download the latest homebrew and apps. If you search YouTube you can find fantastic modding guides that are step by step.
Worst case scenario a used wii will run you $40 and you will have an ‘extra’ controller

I suppose that's true haha. They aren't too expensive and I guess technically I already have another one on my Wii U. I'd just rather be able to use all my gamecube controllers.

Use modmii

I took a look at that but was a little confused where to start since my wii is already modded with homebrew.

Update:

Looked into modmii some more and actually got myself where I want to be with the system. All is good now! :)
