Updating games and getting DLC using Wup Installer GX2?

I am considering getting a Wii U to mod and have been researching, but I can't figure out how to update games and get DLC using WUP Installer GX2. I am using WiiUDownloader to get the games.

Put the folders on your sd card in a folder called install. Open wup installer gx2 on your wii u.

Install your game first then the update then the dlc all to the same location ie your hdd.

Exit wup installer gx2, exit hbl, launch game.

Just for your information: Wii U Downloader had been forked around 6 years ago into NUSspli.

NUSspli is, extremely simplified, a merge of Wii U Downloader and WUP Installer and I would highly suggest to have a look at that cause of way faster download speeds and other goodies for your specific use case...

Oh wait, I mixed Wii U Downloader with WUP Downloader. My fault, sorry.

Anyway, as Ettino wanted to say maybe try NUSspli for smaller titles and/or updates/DLC ?

Does Order of installation matter? i copy all the folders in the install directory but then i see it installs first the dlc then the update then the game? will installing in this order screw up things?
