Feedback Install failed from wup installer gx2

Guys i got this error when i was about to install fnaf 1 and even 2 from wup installer gx2 it says "intall failed, fnaf-wiiu-edition, not a game, dlc, game update, demo or version title. What should I do?

In order to install anything with WUP Installer GX2, your files need to be structured like this:

SD:/install/<game_name>/ <- Files go here

Games/applications that can be installed this way have many files with .app, .h3, .tik, .tmd extensions.

If you want to add a homebrew application, chances are it's in WUHB format (supports Aroma), and they go into SD:/wiiu/apps.


Pro tip: If you install something in WUP Installer GX2 and find that the installation gets stuck, you may fix the issue by bringing up Aroma plugin configuration menu (L + Down + Select) and exiting it.

Take out the special characters in the name ie the '-' parts.

Just name it fnaf.

Whats in the game folder?

The file could be corrupt, try downloading it again or trying another game as your sd card may be on its way out.

Also check you have latest sigpatches installed if applicable, i haven't used aroma or tiramisu I'm afraid

Don't worry it's not a virus and i already download sigpatches but i think that the problem is because that i need to install something in the apps folder like cuphead wii u edition or it's the wup installer problem. Maybe that's the problem.

I'm not suggesting a virus, sd cards can just be very fickle. You could try another sd card or a fresh install with wup installer. A few reddit posts suggest a dying sd card was the culprit in their cases for the same error.

Again though what are the contents of your fnaf folder? Corruption can happen during downloading also.
