thanks for the link, it helps me out a lot. Though I'm a little disappointed that I have to do a manual hex search for the cheats (it's a pain in the butt imho). BTW, do cheats save on roms, or do I have to search for them every time?

I added it just now. Wait for the next release.

The cheat list can be saved. Use Menu > Cheat > Save To File. The content will be saved to xxx.cht. Each game could have a .cht file.

That already exists Load rom > Game > Input >L and R Dis/Enabled
The version related is an old one.

Finally got my new R4 card and tried out the new nesds, and... I actually never knew about the rewind/fast forward feature. It's so cool! Sounds like it's an old feature but I just wanted to say that it's really neat and it's so awesome that you have made such a great emulator

I am getting a black screen in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 in stage 5 right before the boss. As I enter the door the music gets stuck on one note and the screen stays black. Not sure if it's my copy of the ROM or nesDS or something else. Kind of sucks that I can't finish this game off. Anyone got ideas how I might be able to troubleshoot and fix this?

I am using 0.54a. I can't really try a different version of nesDS though, since the savestate doesn't work after updating. =\

I uploaded the savestate file at the link below, it's right in front of the door where I encountered the problem. Just go in front of it and hit UP and the game should black screen... anyways, any help will be greatly appreciated. =)

Seems there is a bug. If you set the render method to pure soft by default, you will get a black screen upon running a rom, but you do get to hear the music and you can still do stuff. It can be fixed by changing the rendering method while playing though. (note I also set the blend type to alpha-lerp, so it could also be a combination of the two).

Werewolf the last warrior, doesn't seem to work. I've searched for a good dump, but nesds just refuses to run it. Upon running, I only get a black screen, without anything else happening. It runs on mapper 4, the fps is between 3B and 3C and the crc is 3b94. Here comes the odd thing, the bad OP number changes depending on how many times you tried to run the rom without shutting down nesds
1 try: 7
2 tries: E
3 tries: 15
4 tries: 1C
5 tries: 23

Other than that great work! I really like the gestures and the ability to edit the *.ini file withing the emulator. What I like the most however, is the fact that the menu is now mostly controlled with buttons, because they're a lot more accurate than tapping on words.

whats the best batch .gz app or app to batch convert from .zip to .gz ?

It's been awhile since the last time I used the emulator.

I am not a good player. You should try 0.55b or 0.56a. Just use the cheat-function to get to that stage. I will try that too.

e.. you are right, nesDS could not start from 'Pure-Soft' mode.
'Werewolf the last warrior': maybe there need a patch. If the number of 'BADOP' went high, it means that nesDS cannot handle this game.
Control the menu though buttons... Please use short-cuts instead.

Sorry huiminghao, but can I ask you to use zlib/infozip as dszip base rather than gzip?
gzip itself is distributed under GNU GPL. So avoid COPYING issue by using zlib, which is zlib license (much safer)

E.. I'd like GNU GPL, and I also want the whole project released under GPL.
dszip is NOT the only part that touchs with the GNU GPL. ips patch, barcode scanner, etc.. If I had to avoid GPL, I have to rewrite them..
pocketNES is released under GPL. As I know, nesDS is ported from pocketNES.
GPL, BSD, PUBLIC DOMAIN.....
Any way could I tell loopy and the original developers to change the license?
Do I have the right to change the license of the versions I made?
