nice update

still a few problems with sprites on blkack screens like the bats in castlevania and ghosts in mario adventure should look like

I can't comment on the Mario issue, but you can make the bats visible in CV3 by switching to the "SP-pertile" render method on the "Display" tab

Does Akumajou Densetsu (the Japanese version of Castlevania 3) work properly yet? I've heard it's infinitely superior to the American version.

Also, a little slow, I know, but how do I set up the whole famicom disk system thing?

cheers now i can see bats /o\

yes please look at Akumajou Densetsu the sound is a bit off

and yes the sound is most superior blood tears is awesome and just need a small tinker in nesDS and then it will be perfect

for comparison you can clearly hear the difference well worth it in my opinion

At least the US version has those codes to start with any partner. Bitches don't know about my dhampir tricks.

Oh yeah, how do you turn off the rewind function now?

EDIT: 666th post! I feel... dirty.

I cannot access the YouTube.com because of the GFW....
I am not an expert on NES Sounds. It is really hard for me to update them.

Hey huiminghao you're doing a great job with NESDS

keep up the good work!

I have a little request: I would like to play Wily & Light no Rockboard - That's Paradise (J) ,but after the first turn the game freezes so it is impossible to play, could you get it fixed on nesds???

also, each time i update nesds to the latest version my savestates do not work anymore ,for example i updated from nesDS 0.50b to nesDS 0.51a and the savestates i had could not be loaded

Hey, I just tried 0.51a (as I was unable to before), and I must say, nice job on the light gun. Although I have a problem.
I'm left handed, so I'm forced to hold it in a very awkward position. Hopefully your next change will fix that.
And about what I said about the top screen as default, ignore that, I haven't tried the new version when I said that.

EDIT: I have a bug to report. The light gun does not work in pure-soft mode.

@Sir_Voe: For playing on the top screen, you can just hold your stylus at an angle so that the top of the stylus lines up with the place you're touching on the bottom screen. It's still fairly difficult, but it's more accurate when done correctly (plus it adds a slightly different feel to the game).

I've gone through this problem myself, and upon corresponding with huiminghao we've discovered that this is an unfixable problem between versions due to differences in how the save states are formed. Supposedly 0.51a is the last time this will happen. On the bright side, SRAM saves work just fine between versions...

my friend and i just played a bunch of games using NIFI , how cool is that!!? .. thank you very much for your hardwork.

one small suggestion , could you redesign the bottom screen with bigger buttons for easier finger tapin ?

I have a question about the NesDS, it is an awesome emulator but why the save state menu has to be touch based? I just cant figure out no matter how hard I try

...

Even emulators like the master system one and nitrografx have better menus than NesDS...and I can save and load states more easily than in NesDS

Requesting fixes for a couple of games.

Final Fantasy V (pirate game)
Super Donkey Kong (pirate game)
Super Donkey Kong 2 (pirate game)

There`s another Super Donkey Kong, but I can`t remember it, it had a subtitle which is completely meaningless to me.

Hi, I would stop the updates for another while. Busy again....

I would like to rewrite the whole menu thing, since there is not enough space for new options...

Some help please: I would like to play the JP Famicom disk version of The Legend of Zelda on nesDS. The game loads but how do I switch the "disk" to side B? Thanks!

Discussed in depth only two pages back...

Err, are there some troubles with saving in the latest version?
My last save in my Legend of Zelda file vanished and the game is acting like a certain 2 hours of play never happened.

or is there a specific way I'm supposed to save, like in other emulators?
