Does anyone have tips on how to get Zelda Switch 2 in the UK? They sell out really fast and they always go up for sale when I'm at work. Maybe there's a way to get a alert or join a queue?

I've held off getting a Switch 2 for this long, and I was going to wait for a proper hardware enhancement, but I really like the look of this one and that it's inspired by the N64 Zeldas.

Sites like this do help if you want to stay on the ball with stock appearing:
https://stock-checker.com/products/gaming/nintendo-switch-2-zelda-40th

I've used them in the past (maybe not that one specifically) and managed to get orders in pretty quick. It's a brutal landscape with limited edition stuff though. Fingers crossed you can get it in the end, the game looks great.

I would check Amazon because they usually reopen orders unlike other retailers. Use a browser add-on that pings a message when it's available.

I pre ordered a NS2 Zelda Edition on Amazon UK, the game on Amazon FR, but still trying to pre order the controller.

I get alerts it's up on Amazon UK, I open the notification, and it's... gone.

You are competing with scalper's AI agents. That is not a competition you can win.

If these reach retail shelves, you might get one. (As much as I wanted a Wii from Nov 2006 on, I didn't get one until almost exactly a year later when I walked into a Walmart just as they were putting some out -- and I felt very lucky because they continued to be sold out for another year after that. I refused to pay a scalper for one. And it wasn't even a limited edition.)

That's true.

They must have made tons of accounts to snatch them up, I hope they'll end up being unable to sell the stock they'll have. Greedy bastards.

I remember back during covid-19 when everybody was cramped in their homes, I was able to secure a PS5 copy from Amazon UK before cancelling it because my local shops started taking pre-orders. I cannot imagine the situation can get much worse than what happened during covid.

Amazon unfortunately isn't hard to exploit because it requires no payment authorizations to put in the pre-order.

😭 .co.uk... I don't even know what a trolley is.
It's like a shopping basket but it has wheels and a handle, and holds more. You have them stateside. What are they called there? Carts maybe?

Physical Argos stores don't actually have trolleys or baskets. They're have desks where you ask for what you want and someone goes to get it for you.

No trip to the UK is complete without visiting Argos, Wetherspoons, Greggs, and TK Maxx. Stop by Lild too for good cheap pastries.

All i'm going to say is if you already have a switch 2, Then there is no reason to buy this.
Iv had plenty of opportunities and just said no, Now if they fixed the screen than maybe.
I'm split on this. I want it because it's a Zelda Edition and it looks really cool, plus it has replaceable battery... But it's still an LCD screen.

We've gotta wait a few years for an OLED NS2 Zelda Edition.

I know, Me too man.
As a huge Zelda fan it was hard to say no, But I already have 2 and it's just an image on the console and dock, joycons.
It's not going to change anything or get women to want to sit on your wiener lol

I read it doesn't have the replaceable battery. Make sure you know for certain, if that's a selling point for you.

I don't think it has a replaceable battery. Nintendo always does the good limited edition at end-of-life of a hardware revision.

People complain about LCD screens but Apple had better screens on iPad than any Android tablet had for years before they switched from LCD. LCD isn't worse per se. That said, I haven't evaluated the screen myself. I just kinda assumed it's as good as the OLED Switch and I suppose it might not be.
