Hi,

My R4i Gold 3DS card doesn't work, but i have a question:
When is the new wood for 6.3.0-12e available and the updatepatch (for ndsl).
Or is it already out (Link plz)

Gr.

Wood? Wood is the OS of the card.
Wood loads the games and the firmware for the card makes it possible to use on newer firmwares of the 3DS.

R4i Gold 3DS supports newest 3DS V6.3.0-12 directly (as long as your card supported V6.2.0-12 before) !

If ur card supported 6.2 firmware then its gonna work on 6.3 too.

''But before I had that 'Metroid' icon, I had an angelwing icon with a pink background..''

That was probably Dorasu and afterwards you updated to Metroid which was the 4.5 firmware exploit, after that you didn't update the card?

With the things u said above it seems that u have a Bugged Rev C card which only works till 4.5 firwmare.

Lets start troubleshooting cause maybe you could have a non bugged Rev C, who knows.

If you are getting white screen that means that u have problems with the micro SD, get a new one or borrow it from friend, maybe some other device in home has and so use its card.

Download This ftp://r4idsdown:[email protected]/Wood_R4iGold_V1.62.rar
And This ftp://r4idsdown:[email protected]/r4igold_3DS62_Patch.rar

The things from Wood_R4iGold_V1.62.rar put in the root of ur micro SD
The things r4igold_3DS62_Patch.rar put in the root of the card too.

Turn on ur DSLite and put the flascard with the microSD in it.
Click the Metroid icon and wait for the screen to load.

When the screen appers highlight and press A button on R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSL_3DS.nds.

And now folow the instructions on the screen.

Report what happened during the procedure.

You're right, i had a dorasu icon before the metroid icon.
The problem is in the update, when I am click on the metroid icon in the dslite i get a white screen.
I will try to use an other card but I don't know if i have another one.
Is there some white screen fix or something.

Iirc White screen means that somethings wrong with the microSD.
Maybe you haven't put the card good in the flashcard or the card is incompatible with the flascard.

You could format the card and try it again.
To format use Panasonic Formatter and format THE CARD.

https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/eula_windows/

And just to say that formatting means deleting all files on the card, so backup it if you have something important on it.

Shall try.

No, doesn't work. Time to search for a sd card, could that be the only solution @GamerHellz?

Well i can't really confirm that that will work but it should.
If it doesn't then the card is broken.

Btw did the card worked before with the same Micro SD card?

Sorry to necro the heck out of this thread, but I just wanted to post for my own future reference and in case any one else comes across this and also happens to have an R4i Gold 3DS

I managed to get my hands on a R4i Gold 3DS new in box after I lost my old one. It works fine in my DS Lite, but I would get a white screen when booting it from any of my 3DSs. Turns out the one I just got is rev C. Had no idea there were bugged ones that couldn't update to the latest firmware, so I was a little worried that this would be the case for me

I still happened to have the patch .nds file for my old card. So I put it on the SD card and loaded it up on my DS Lite. Unfortunately, when I try to run the patch .nds and press A, I was just getting a "Fail" error with no other info. At this point I thought I was SOL, but then I found an archive of the firmware patch here https://archive.flashcarts.net/r4ids.cn/r4ids.cn_FWUpdate_6.2.0 and this apparently included another patch .nds file called "R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSi_3DS.nds" (as opposed to "R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSL_3DS.nds").

I ran the DSi patch file from my DS Lite, and the update succeeded! And now it works in my 3DS.
