Yeah, all Walmarts in my area have been sold out of Vita's since Xmas.
Luckily Kmart had them in stock.
Bought one with cash.
Came back 2 days later because "I took it home plugged it in, the screen flashed and it wouldn't turn on".
They called the electronics guy over to check. He didn't even look at the vita in the little foam thing. He didn't even fucking LOOK AT IT. I could have stuffed a clay brick the same shape and weight in there and they would have returned it. He just made sure that he saw the charger in there, asked "You tried to charge it right" and I said of course.
He said "it looks good" and the lady said okay, asked for my zipcode (that's it, not address, phone, nothing) and then called the supervisor over to accept the return (I guess if it's over $50 or $100 cash coming out of the drawer the supervisor has to ok it).
Said thanks and went on my way.
