Misc Update game without updating system?

So today or whenever the new Smash 4 update came out is there a way for me update the game while blocking the update servers i know this is probably a stupid question but i'll just want to know just to be safe

download updates with: https://gbatemp.net/threads/download-the-new-nusgrabbergui.411228/
place the folder containing .app files and others and name it "install"
use https://github.com/dimok789/wupinstaller/releases through hblauncher to install it

I've been using it to install game updates, it's working out fine.

Been helping people out in the 3DS scene so my heads wrapped around that, didn't see that this was for Wii U.

it's installing fine thank you for the help. Now i know when a game update comes out for a game that i play on my Wii U i'll know what to do
