So I have Ubuntu 15.04 installed on an external hard drive (Via USB 3.0) and is running on my laptop right now. I'm wanting to play Minecraft, and when the game is running, I have a really nasty graphics flicker every so often, and I can't seem to correct it. I can't seem to get any Intel drivers for it, and I'm running this on an Acer Aspire V5, having an Intel i3 and 8GB RAM. Has anyone here had graphic flicker in Minecraft, and have they managed to fix it?

I could just boot into Windows to fix this, but I'd like to have it working on Linux as well for when I am on here and people want me to join the many servers I play on.

Did you make sure your graphic card's drivers were set up properly? As well try either OpenJDK7 or use try using Oracle Java

I have Oracle Java installed, I decided to use that over OpenJDK to ensure I have the latest in updates and whatnot.

Edit: Tried OpenJDK6, and while it did reduce the flickering, it was still quite awful. I can't seem to get OpenJDK7/8 to show up as to choose them to launch the JAR file.

Intel provides open source drivers so it should be pretty much plug and play, but have you tried the latest driver from Intel's website?

So I've been searching to no avail, but has anyone come across any Intel graphics drivers for Ubuntu 15 Vivid Vervet yet? I'm not having any luck.
