    Hey guys,

I want to know how do I update my sysnand in 4.2 to 9.2 in Old 3ds and how do I update my emunand in 9.0 to 9.5 in New Nintendo 3ds?

    Thanks.

3DNUS and FBI to update the emunand on your new 3DS.

3DNUS doen't work to download old firmwares anymore.

1)Boot rxTools and install sysupdater.cia using FBI in sysnand, destination:SD (or BBM)

2)Download the 9.2 update pack from that iso website, when you uncompress it there will be a folder named updates with all the updates inside.

3)Put the updates folder at the root of your SD card.

4)On your 3DS, open rxTools, boot into Dev Mode/Pasta Mode and run sysupdater, follow a couple of prompts and sysupdater will do everything else.

That is for an old 3ds, right? What about a New Nintendo 3ds? How should I update 9.0 to 9.5 in emunand there?

And... rxMode in sysnand its the same that dev menu? Booting with pasta in HBL in the New Nintendo 3ds is the same too?

    Thanks!

    For emunand it's even easier.

1)Place the updates in your SD card.

2)Install sysupdater.cia in emunand using BigBlueMenu.

    3)Run sysupdater from emunand.

Thanks a lot, man. So, for the o3ds, rxmode in sysnand would be the same than dev mode or something?

rxMode and Dev Mode are 2 totally different options, if you choose rxMode it will brick your system.

    Dev Mode has firmlaunch disabled.

rxMode has firmlaunch enabled resulting in big nice brick if you run sysupdater.

Wow, man. You saved my life then. Now I have this and dont know if Im correct or not: some days ago, I download the HBL cia and tested on emunand with my o3ds, it worked pretty nice. Now, can I use the Pasta Loader with the HBL in emunand to enter in pasta mode sysnand? Sorry about my english. Thanks.

Hey man, I did the update of the 9.5 firmware using sysupdater in emunand, now just something happened: I have been installed the coldboot stuff there and, after the updates cias were installed, it said that would be reboot in 10 seconds, after that, the CtrBoot manager menu appears and I choose to boot in rxtools but, when I select that option, it keeps booting in CTRboot manager menu. Why is that? Please help me.

Tuen your system off and back on.

That's a little bug and nothing more after the update is done.

Didn't you make an emunand backup beforehand? It is known you should ALWAYS have a backup before attempting any changes.

If not I guess you'll have to start a new emunand from scratch...

You mean an emunand backup created with emunandtool or something?

Also I wonder why of the loop.

Are you sure you grabbed the 9.5 update pack for N3DS and not for ol 3DS?

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that, you gotta be more careful and check you have the right stuff when you do this things.

You'll have to use the Gateway menu to format emunand again (make sure to have installed FBI/BBM in sysnand before doing it).

In my case both of my nands are linked so fbi shows up in both sysnand and emunand from when i installed it in rxtools emunand. If i boot into rxtools and choose dev mode for sysnand and run fbi to install sysupdater would it run that way?
