Just because I don't always do (it's a discussion board after all) doesn't mean you can just drag up any past and solved civil discussions and give it a personal negative spin.

So you agree, then. The new method of counting views isn't designed to be even remotely accurate, it's designed to make Musk's site seem more popular/active than it actually is by including non-human activity.

Well the title was an error on my part, I should've said "advertisers" rather than "investors," as Twitter no longer has investors in the truest sense. The inflated view counts were intended to entice advertisers Twitter had previously lost due to Elon's poor management, but he may well have reverted the change after it became clear they weren't coming back. I haven't visited the site or viewed enough tweets lately to be sure.

The term "views" is arbitrarily defined and its definition changes from platform to platform. I see the point that those who have grown comfortable with a different meaning behind "twitter views" might see the change with suspicious eyes. Skepticism is healthy, I think, but that's all this really amounts to imo. It could have been changed in order to measure the relative (and repeated) engagement of different tweets. It could be just to measure what kind of comments, people, and topics are most attention capturing. I never thought what Twitter reports about its own popularity would ever be trustworthy, especially without the ability to verify, before and after Elon.

I've had the extreme misfortune of dealing with him and his pathology for years and not only has it been a dreadful experience but it could also be a great case study for cowardice. I usually disagree with him on most things, because it has the same opinions as ex twitter employees. Just because i dont know what that sentence means doesnt mean you can just pop up any time, even though it it does because its a discussion board.
