Homebrew Twilight Menu Download Play trouble

Recently, I tried playing Mario Party DS with Twilight Menu on my modded 2DSXL with my cousin's unmodded 3DSXL

I used Download Play, but each time I tried, it kept saying I got a communication error, and it didn't work.

Is there something I need to adjust in order to do multiplayer with others from Twilight Menu?

It's always best to ask questions in the official twighlight menu thread as the dev of the app will see your issue. Also you will find other people have probably already asked your questions ect.

Anyway Download play doesn't work for most games at the moment it is an issue the dev of the app is working on and a fix will be out sometime in the future.

is there another way to hack a 3ds without using 3ds download play, or is that the only way? because every tutorial ive seen either used configure nds settings or 3ds download play

just install twilight menu with universal updater, then put your roms into a folder named whatever you want with saves being in the saves folder of that folder you just named. you need to do special instructions if you want widescreen, but it's not very difficult. I don't have a link for the tutorial on that.

the 3ds im hacking does not have twilight menu, and im trying to hack it to get all of those things. my only problem is 3ds download play does not work. and on all fo the tutorials ive seen, the person always go on nintendo ds settings or either click the nintendo ds portion of 3ds download play.

no, a lot of people use download play as their title to use the homebrew launcher, myself included. twilight menu doesn't need it.

what im trying to say is, i havent modded the 3ds yet, i dont have the homebrew apps yet. the tutorials ive seen , the frogtool needs the nds download play, but the one on the 3ds im trying to mod the frogtool wont boot up because nds download play does not work. thats what im trying to say.

im on the link. you are understanding what im telling u. the frogtool need the nds download play, but nds download play does not work. so how else am i supposed to mod a 3ds without going to nds download play or is that the only way the frogtool will work?

I think you can use seedminer on any firmware, but I've never done it.

well, I'm not well-versed on the new methods, so I've never heard of the frog tool method. I hacked my 3ds when a9lh was still a thing. major pita series of steps.
