Hey guys. my friend told me about this awesome program. you can see hundreds of channels on your computer (english and chinese) for free. if the channels are decent or not, i have yet to verify. anywayz, just google tvu, should be first link, and then download the player. quality is not bad, and streaming is very quick. i've seen channels such as cbs, mad tv, spike tv, etc. so doesn't seem half bad.

I experimented with Joost! and TVU awhile back.

Ended up settling on buying a DVB-S card and popping a dish in the window. If you're going to get free TV, might as well go all out.

    DVB equipment is cheap.

This is cool, if it has the international channels you want (so you don't have to pay cable/dish companies a shitload to get these channels)

Though I use an indoor over the air antenna. I get 6 HD channels for free.

And I have DirecTV for channels that are not over the air, or that I don't mind watching over a composite connection ):
