damn, online mode lags way too much.
i can't pull off any combos at all.
and no, i'm not new to this game since i've been playing the original japanese version for hours and hours.
i can pull off crazy combos easy on 1 player mode, but online is just unplayable.
when will wii online games be lag-free like xbox live? probably never i know, but it's so frustrating.

when they make you pay for it

Go try out Blazblue on PS3, it is 100% lag free and works perfectly. I also have over 100 hours on SF4 PS3 online and 99.9% of the time, the online is great. Ive tried 20+ matches of TvC online, and its basically unplayable. Nintendo has no clue how to do a real online infrastructure and will never pay to make a real one, since they make billions without proper internet. So why spend that money?

yeah ps3 online is also free and it's lag free.
but i don't mind paying $60 per year like xbox live.
i've spent at least 2000 hours on xbox live and i haven't experienced any lag at all... i mean none.. even for very fast paced fighting games.
nintendo is so f*cking greedy... they outsold all other consoles and they don't want to spend enough money to make a decent online infrastructure.
if i knew nintendo online was this pathetic, i would have never bought a wii.

Nintendo's online is hit and miss. Mario Kart is absolutely lag free, where Brawl is a lag fest.
PS3 games are getting better, but it's whoever is in charge of that individual game that does it. PSN itself is pretty horrid.

many people think mario kart is lag free, but it's not.
it just looks like it's lag free because the way it's made.
sometimes you see other guys drop off the course and sh*t but they come right back on... it's hard to explain, but it's just an illusion to make you think it's lag free.

If you can't tell a game lags, then why does it matter? I mean, it may lag, but if they made an "illusion" convincing enough to make it seem like it doesn't, why are we complaining?

And let's STAY ON TOPIC. This is a Tatsunoko vs. Capcom online discussion, not a rant about how bad Nintendo is with online. Go talk about your strategies, interesting battles you had, etc.

lag can be improved with a wired LAN adapter, but its still very connection and distance related. Games with players near you can be very good, actually.

Don't even think about setting it to "Worldwide"... that option shouldn't even exist

I am playing it on worldwide, and 80% of my games are super smooth.
I am on wireless but my wii is like half a meter frm my router, so maybe thats why.

To bring back to topic, I have a question! In a youtube video showing online features, I saw a menu saying that you have to register to play online. Does it mean that usb-loading people (not me! the others!) should avoid playing online before getting banned? Or does it ask for a special key on the game box to register?

As I'm on a WLAN router, I thought I check th router settings.

-DMZ server for wii's ip address is set up
-SPI Firewall is diabled.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
