in that post why does 3.2e appear to have more files than the u and j version?

great post by the way.

and .. would this work with Any Region Changer Mod 5 ?

thank-you.

IS IOS17-64-v512.wad.out.wad the same as IOS17-64-v512.wad .. the wad i got from a game is IOS17-64-v512.wad.out.wad and not IOS17-64-v512.wad .. all the other wads are of the same format..

i am gonna downgrade soon.. to be brickproof

Just rename the files you got from wufe and you are fine.

ok thx will try to downgrade during the weekend.. one question do you need gc controller for starfall?? i dun have one

Ok this thread is really confusing o_O Which guide am I supposed to follow here and if it isn't mishra's in the first post, then why the heck is it still there? A mod should either delete everything it says or fix it.

Right, I'll just go through all of the posts again then and highlight everything you've said ^_______^

Really, I think you should start your own thread and this should be closed or even deleted

theres no point starting yet another, it will just get flamed, or millions of noobs asking the same questions.

The method i wrote about works 100% - tested - used it on about 10 wii's now.

The way i have it set up i have 1 SD with 3.4 TPhack, wadman, custom wadman, and the cioscorp installer (which installs ANY wads placed in the cioscorp folder in order) to downgrade, and a second SD with 3.1-3.3 TP hack, cIOS, preloader, softmii, dvdx, usefull channels etc. It's quite literally everything I need and as compact as possible.

Good luck.

1. Download CIOSCORP Installer = yes

2. Put the installer where? /apps/cioscorp/ ? = yes

3. Put all the necessary WAD files in /cioscorp/ = yes

4. Run WAD Manager and install cios16 = yes

5. Run WAD Manager Custom and install cios249 r7 = cIOS36r8

6. Run the CIOSCORP Installer = yes

Done? = yes

One thing is still nagging me... this cios249 r7 (or cIOS36r8), what's that?
huh.gif
I followed TimothyTheDude's guide on YouTube and have thus installed both cios_fix.wad and IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad in their proper order, but that guide doesn't say anything about cios249 r7??

Do I need it in order to downgrade offline in this way? 'Cause I'm about to load the CIOSCORP installer now - with all the necessary WAD-files in /apps/cioscorp... Btw, this is done by putting the cioscorp.dol in /WAD/ and then running WAD Manager, right? X)

Edit: oh, thanks for the reply - I was writing this while you posted that so I didn't catch it

There, I've installed cios249 r7/cIOS36r8 now. But when I tried to run cioscorp.dol in WAD Manager I got an error, something about a WAD that was missing :S So supposedly - I did something wrong.

Edit: no it says "Reading WAD" and then "Error".

Now, I was thinking that perhaps it couldn't locate the cioscorp-folder since I've got cioscorp.dol in X:/WAD/ (I didn't know what else to do in order for the file to appear in WAD Manager) so I put the .dol back into /apps/cioscorp/ and renamed it boot.dol - the tried to load the file using HBC. But that didn't work either, still getting an error.

I'm clueless, really

I believe cios_fix.wad was rev 6 of cIOS36 aka cIOS249

r7 was, next and then r8.

Only need to have r8 after cIOS 16.

You run cioscorps boot .dol from HBC.

As long as the .wads are in order and in that folder it works.

Make sure you have good ripped wads, and not corrupted downloaded wads.

So, no one knows what I'm doing wrong here? :/ Just woke up and was hoping to find a reply with some kind of solution...

-1 is a file not found error.
Where did you put your CIOSCORP files?

There was only one file in the zip that I downloaded from GBAtemp's archive - the boot.dol which I put in apps/cioscorp/ along with all the wad-files neeeded to downgrade.
